Not a McDonalds I go to often, and when I do go and can order something it is just like any other McDonalds, nothing special. There are 3 reasons I do not go here very often, TLDR at the bottom.
It is always busy. One of the busiest McD I have ever seen. Service is decently fast I noticed, but is offset by the sheer volume of customers in line in front of you. I don't like going to busy places at all and since this place is busy most of the day I rarely go here.
It's in a dangerous and infuriating location. To be fair this McD was here way before Shepherdsville developed to what it is now. But that still doesn't change the fact making a left turn out of there is extremely dangerous and you will need to be lucky to get out. Or just make a right and turn around in the bank parking lot at the traffic light. Since it is so busy, good luck! Infuriating because there are no alternate ways in or ways to bypass traffic. Have fun watching 5 - 10+ cars turn into the parking lot while you wait at that traffic light.
This location closes early for random reasons randomly. So when I do decide to try to go here it is usually after the dinner rush or a few hours before midnight. Well this McD likes to close with no warning disturbingly often. I will drive into the parking lot only to see a small printed paper sign either on the door or drive thru speaker saying something like this: "We will be closing at (time that just passed) for (random reason here). We will reopen at (typically 6 am). Sorry for the inconvenience." Okay sure my $10 - $15 might not hurt you at all, but that is money going to your competition. Don't want my money? Fine you don't have to have it. I narrowed it down to this happening typically around 9pm-11pm, which I usually end up getting there 2 or 3 minutes after close, lucky me right?
TLDR: Too busy, too dangerous, and too unpredictable on hours of operation to warrant me visiting...
Read moreI come to this McDonald’s several times a week. I placed an order online go to pick it up in the drive-through. I give the code to the person in the drive-through. They proceed to tell me I did not place my order with them. They do not have it. I need to go pick it up at that location. I then tell her I have a screenshot right here. It even has your address. I was in your parking lot when I placed the order.. The girl tells me I don’t know what to tell you we don’t have your order. You’re gonna have to go in and cancel it or pick it up from there. I go in a manager comes to the counter and I tell him the same thing he says we don’t have your order but let me grab your phone and we’ll figure it out. He takes my phone trying to prove to me that I placed the order at the wrong store. looks down on the counter and there’s my order setting the whole entire time so I was rudely spoke to even though I had the proof told by the representative that there was nothing she could do for me. I need to go elsewhere to pick it up and they had it the entire time sitting on the counter. I said to the manager, do you realize the way that I was spoke to by Your representative. He did apologize But this is unacceptable if I didn’t know better I would’ve left them without the money because they won’t refund you your money if you place it at the...
Read more1-Star Review: Absolutely Unacceptable and Unsafe Experience We ordered a Quarter Pounder with ketchup only for my 9-year-old who has a severe allergy and cannot have cheese or certain toppings due to a dairy sensitivity. The first hamburger came with everything despite our explicit request for ketchup only.
We brought it back, they took it and I requested a new one — what we were given was something which had been thrown together in haste, as though the individual ripped off the toppings angrily and then re-heated the same patty. It was sloppy, with ketchup everywhere, still some of what we asked not to be on the burger remaining, and it looked as though it had been played with. In the photo is what was given to me.
This wasn't a mistake — it wasn't safe. My child would have had allergic reaction if we hadn't caught it. Allergy and diet information isn't an option — it is required.
McDonald's, you can do better. This lack of care is unacceptable, especially when the health of children...
