My review would have rated them higher if our entire experience was as good as it was after we asked for a different waiter. When we first came in the hostess was missing, it was 5 o'clock, the restaurant was not busy at all. We waited about five minutes to be seated by the manager, Syed. We were a party of five, three children. Right off the bat the waitress, Bristin (may be spelled differently), made a comment about our children behaving or they would be cleaning the lobster tanks. We just laughed it off and gave our drink order. When it was time to order my youngest son wanted grilled cheese, something we've ordered before, in fact just about a month ago. Bristin told us they did not serve grilled cheese. I told her we had ordered it last time. She told us she'd been working there for five years and they have never served grilled cheese. Then she rudely tells me she's going to give me a few minutes and walks away, not taking anyone else's order. She precedes to the table next to us, where she talks to them about our table. I was absolutely shocked. It made us very uncomfortable and we felt very unwelcomed. I went directly to the manager, Syed, and requested a new waiter. The new waiter, Billy, was not only kind but very attentive. If not for him, our rating would have been lower. If not for Bristin, whom, by the way, continued to wait tables around us, treating those patrons with nothing but respect, the complete opposite of how she treated us, which was baffling because we deserved the same respect, the rating would've been higher. We were nothing but respectful to everyone, why we were treated with such disrespect is beyond us. I'm thinking it was because of our boisterous children, but I'm not positive, all I know is no one deserves to be treated the way Bristin treated us. We truly felt like royalty when Billy took over. So, thank you to Syed for replacing a terribly disrespectful, downright rude waiter with Billy, who was very kind, attentive,...
Read moreI dined in with my disabled mother this afternoon. We had a nice meal and everything was great until I asked for my mother’s change back. The total was $55.94 and I gave the waitress $60.00 and that I wanted my change back. It just so happened that my mother and I were paying separately so I figured up our bill so I didn’t bother the waitress any more and the $4.06 change was my mother’s. She told me she didn’t have the change in her register. So I said okay I still want the change and she said she would have to go to another register to get it. I said okay go ahead. While she was gone I decided I needed to go to the bathroom and when I went I saw her at a register near the bathroom getting the change. When I got back to the table I asked my mother if she got the change. She said yes and I asked if she gave her a tip. She said yes I gave her $3.00. I said okay and she headed to the bathroom. While she was gone I got $6.00 extra to add to the tip my mother gave. But while I was sitting there I saw the waitress come up to her register which was close by my table and she started talking to another employee. I overheard her complaining about having to go get the $4.00 in change and also comment that if you want to be like that maybe they should go to McDonalds. I was shocked at the level of disrespect the waitress had. She had no idea that I was leaving her a larger tip when she said that and so I took away my $6.00 tip and instead left $3.00. She griped her way out of a better tip and complained about doing her job. I have been bringing my mother from two hours away for several years in a row to a doctor in Sherman. Our trips to Red Lobster used to be our fun thing to do together when she has to go to the doctor in Sherman. Needless to say we won’t be back and I’m sad about that. I hope management takes action about this. I can only imagine how many customers she’s ran off for talking like that about her customers. This happened...
Read moreWent to celebrate 3 months with my boyfriend!! We went in and had to wait 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we were there, waited another 10 to get seated. Waited at the table for 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order and it was the hostess! The waitress finally came to take our order, and had an attitude. Took OVER AN HOUR to get our food and there was only 3 other small families there. She kept saying it was coming out, then told us someone else took it for their table! When we finally got our food it was cold, crab legs were soft and lobster tail was chewy! We also paid an extra $5 for sausage added and it was tough and flavorless! When we went to pay it was $47 as we shared a meal. My boyfriend gave her 2 $50 gift cards because he didn’t look at the total. The waitress then brings us back ONE gift card, says it has $50 on it still… But where did the other 2.48 go? Why didn’t we get that card back?? So he asked her for the other card back, she said “oh I’ll have to see if I can find it.” She “found” it and informed us that THIS was the card with $50 on it, not the one she gave us back!!!! She instead tried to pocket this gift card that he had received as a gift! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We will NEVER go back. If we don’t get food poisoning we are...
