2Teas Boba — Restaurant in Shorewood

We came on the third day of soft launch, and the boba did not disappoint. We had been looking for a boba place close by, as before we had to drive all the way to Naperville to find a decent place. There is a vast variety of flavors, and so far all the ones my friends and I tried did not disappoint. We got the Matcha Berry Latte with tapioca, Taro Milk Tea with tapioca, and Butterfly Brown Sugar Milk tea with tapioca. I got excited to try my drink and had already mixed it before taking the picture. All their drinks tasted great, look beautiful, and most importantly the consistency of the tapioca is perfect. I will definitely be back :)

Edit: I came back a month later to see if they are still up to par. Let's just say it's not the same as it was on opening week. The tapioca pearls have almost completely changed in consistency and are more hard. I'm not sure what happened to their cups but now they are just like basic solo cups? The berry jelly tastes off, and the drink is way too sweet. And somehow they managed to get even more expensive? I paid $10 for my drink!!? I'm really sad and disappointed because I was so excited to finally have a boba place close to me. I'm sad to say that I'll have to be making the trip to Naperville to 45 degrees again.

As someone who grew up drinking boba tea or milk tea and have tried also other countries boba. In summary this place is mid tier or low tier. I got here butterfly brown sugar boba tea and also tried their fresh kuro tea.

• boba pearls 5.5/10 - its soft and chewy but some were kind of hard to chew, not too sweet just enough • the drink itself 4/10 - i ordered butterfly brown sugar boba tea but it felt like i was drinking straight up just fresh milk with sugar in it. i was badly disappointed. So excited to try this place after seeing a boba tea opened in the area. Looking forward to getting my fix before work. Unfortunately I can't say it will happen. I might not completely cross them out of my book just yet. Might give them one more chance. Here is the reason I won't recommend this place so far. One the service, I didn't appreciate my drink was just barely started while someone else's that was just finished paying was already served. And it's not like the next person who got two drinks before me order right away. It was a couple of minutes before they arrived after I had place my order and a other few more before they decided what they wanted. Second. I asked for a half the sweetness in my drink. If what was serve was half sweet I do not want to know what a full serving of sweetness is. I guess I'll have to ask for no sweetness added next time to get half the sweetness taste.
