Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Shorewood

Awful. Service was terrible, pizza was worse. Paid for extra cheese, wasn't there, was barely any cheese or sauce, or.... Dough. I've never seen a pizza so thin, it was a quarter the thickness of the thinnest pizza I ever had I don't even know how that's possible. It was basically thin as paper. Cheese flavor was bland, except for one piece I got near the crust it tasted like cleaner.... Was the worst pizza I ever had. This is how bad it is... Domino's is at least 40 times better on every single one of their items. Now that's bad. Got there and it was 15 minutes without being helped, but worse, I had 4 people make eye contact with me then just walk away with a whole line behind me. One guy literally walked up to the cash register, looked me square in the eye and extremely slowly wiped his hands down the front of his shirt, then walked away. Employees where swearing loudly and throwing food at each other across from across the room back and forth. I will never ever ever ever ever go back. Especially since for two pizzas it was almost 40 dollars WITH coupon, that weren't that big but tasted awful and were paper thin. Two large pizzas is alot... When it's normal sized but paper thin it was like eating nothing. Except bland extremely thin EXTREMELY lightly cheesed bread.. which is funny because I ordered double cheese but there wasn't even a normal amount on there and sauce was none existent, couldn't even tell you what the sauce tasted like, never found it. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I don't think this place will be here long, only takes one time for people to realize somewhere is this...

Update 2nd order- We decided to give them another shot. Order was timely this time so we actually got the pizza. The ingredient distribution was awful. It looked like they pulled the ingredients in the middle, shook it a little and threw it in the oven. 1 pizza was customized 1/2 and 1/2.... For each child. The ingredients were on the wrong side, all the sausage was piled up on two slices. They also failed to slice the pizza all the way through and the slices were no where close it being uniform sizes. This place is quite awful. This was our last attempt with this papa john's.

1st order-

We ordered 5 pizzas through the app and scheduled the delivery for the following day. The app stated that they would be delivered by 6pm. I called at 6:15pm to ask about the status and I was told that they didn't even make our pizzas yet and they are tending to other orders. What is the point of ordering in advance and scheduling a delivery if you are not going to honor it. And to be told that "it's a very busy night... Bla Bla bla"?? Yes, I know. That's why I ordered in advance. Similar to a reservation. Absolutely ridiculous.

OH, and the best the "manager" could offer was to have us come pick it up instead of delivery. What the actually eff does that do for us as a customer. Nice way to treat a customer spending $100 on your mediocre Pizza.

Hey Papa John's,...

Arrived a few minutes after my pick-up time, on purpose, as I know this location is usually busy. Never had an issue in the past 2 years, but for some reason, yesterday I had a horrible experience. When I arrived, a customer seemed upset as he didn't have complete order ready. Understandable , but I'll give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt, as again, they're usually busy, and I wasn't there from the beginning of that conversation. Another customer seemed confused as his order could not be located, and again, I believe this to be an issue on the customer and not the restaurant. My issue was that not 1 or 2 or 3, but 4 employees acknowledged me, but did make eye contact. Not even a, Welcome to Papa John's, please give us a few minutes xxxxxxx. Nothing. After a few minutes, a young lady walked in and one of the lady employees (who had made eye contact with me) asked "Have you been helped?" That's when I said "no, I haven't. ' and again, ignored. After a few minutes, another lady took my name and handed me my order. Needless to say, for someone who's worked in Customer Service, this type of experience is how you lose customers.
