I will say, this place really started to grow on me! I have come here maybe 6x since it opened in West Broad Village. The first few times I came, my lattes were pretty mediocre. I took a little break from coming but my husband and I gave it another try this morning and my latte was AMAZING! The girl who took our order didnāt seem too excited to take our order, but we ignored it because we were just happy to have a morning coffee date.
We each also ordered a foxtail english muffin, which includes egg, canadian bacon (or ham), and cheese. We both had never tried the food here and were so excited! When our food was ready, we quickly found that our one of our english muffins did not have canadian bacon. My husband kindly returned the sandwich back to one of the employees, who said they would make another with ham. When she called our name for the new sandwich, we realized once again that there was no ham on the sandwich. My husband once again had to speak up and say there was no ham on our sandwich.
The girl at the counter then proceeded to tell us she already gave us 2 english muffins with ham, when she clearly had not. We showed her the sandwiches, and in response to this she said āāIām so confusedāā, and I guess weāll make a fourth sandwich āā. My husband apologized to her because the girl seemed frustrated, and in response to this she stormed away from the counter and out of the store.
This was just kind of uncomfortable to us as we were just requesting the correct food we had ordered and paid for (our total was $28), and we hate to be a burden but the food was incorrect. I donāt think we will come back here for a while, the customer service isnāt quite there yet. But again, it couldāve just been a today thing. Coffee was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe have watched the renovation progress and were excited to have a coffee shop in walking distance of our house. The space is very nicely decorated and was very clean. It was a little chaotic inside but chalked that up to it being their first day. The staff were very friendly and ordering was easy. We ordered an Americano, a London Fog, a Bagel, a Choclate Croissant, and a cookie. The total was about $35 which is a little high but not ridiculous for a nice coffee shop. Even though there were only two small orders ahead of us it took almost twenty minutes to get our order. Again chalked this up to it being day one. When we did get our order we were extremely disappointed. The bagel was so hard it was like croutons. The croissant was gummy. The Americano was basically coffee scented warm water and the London Fog was also very watered down. We ended up throwing most of the drinks away. On bright note the cookie was really good. For the price point I expected so much better. We might go back and give it a second chance since it is so convenient for us but will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read morehonestly, i have had very few good experiences here since they've opened. but i've gritted my teeth through each one because i wanted to give them time to adjust and find their flow since i know they were new to the area and i know retail is/can be difficult. however, their service continues to be poor. after my most recent interaction here, where the girl at the counter scoffed at me after i ordered a hot coffee with half and half (?) and then when it was ready- she did not announce or say anything regarding it being ready. she just stood at the pick up counter and stared at me until i happened to look up at her. after that, not a word was said- she just smirked and stared at me strangely and didn't say a word. i don't understand the smirking or the scoffing & honestly, only a few of their employees have good customer service skills. it is not difficult to greet, thank, and call the name of a drink out. š¤·āāļø my money is better spent on a canned coffee from whole foods...
