Let me start by saying I used to be a fan of Carrabb's. That has drastically changed. The good/great....the staff was wonderful...excellent training the staff goes through. The manager had that place running like a well oiled machine. I sat and watched this all play out as ai waited for my to go order. I used to be in the business and would take that staff and manager any day of the week. What went wrong you ask? The food was terrible. I actually got the thought of having a better dinner at a local high school cafeteria. Every single item. I dont care if you bring in a great chef....if the chef has garbage to work with then garbage will be your final prosuct. I am a positive guy who despises negatvity. Dont want to hear it. Positive vibes only. Went back and forth on whether I would write this or not. I ultimately felt it was more important to write a negative review this once for those that rely on reviews to make purchasing desicions. My chicken breast (actually a thin slice of compressed chicken) was so bad...if they would have left it cooking the sides would have started to curl up (half of it already did) that i could let it cool down, turn it over and have a minature frisbee to play with. The garlic mashed potatoes....i should have bought the microwave garlic mashed potaoes you microwave at the store. I can sit here and go on about every single item. 2 different dinners; all different sides that come with it for $60. I felt bad for the staff knowing they are actually serving this garbage and trying their best to keep it real. Which they did. Who orders the food for Carrabba's? Who makes the desicion on what food will be ordered from what vendor? Certainly not the manager I saw that was on top of his game. This desicion was/is made by some pencil pushing individual that probably has not stepped foot in a Carrabba's since covid. Just a guess. That person is slowly destroying what once was a great restraunt. Inflation.....food cost.....i get it....but you are killing your busineas ordering this sub standard, second hand food just to save a buck. PS: Raise prices a dollar an item and order food that the kitchen staff can work with. Everyone save your money....until this problem is solved go somewhere else. ...
Read moreI had not been here in a while. I was pleased to see da steel beautiful place. Our waitress was literally fantastic! Jax was running the place single handily for the first 45 minutes but did not miss anything we needed or anyone else that we could tell. We started with their awesome bread and dipping oil and spice. Very good! We had Shrimp Scampi for appetizer. Six huge shrimp with the spaghetti and sauce! Recommended by our waitress instead of the bread it comes on.. It was define! We had Lentil soup a to hearty dish that I brought the remainder home. .y friend got the 3 special and said it was magnificent. I had Veal picatta and the tossed shrimp was define! The feel was a little chewy which I think could of been help by pounding the veal thinner. I would of liked even a small helping of their spaghetti and sauce as a side order. But we weren't finished yet. I had heard about Connolly's but never had one..... Wow! What I have been missing!!!!! The most delicious dessert of my life! My friend and I shared one dessert that came with 2 Connolly's! They were lightly adorned with thin strips of chocolate creamy frosting. They are a crusted delightful creamy mixture with pistachios in the creamy goodness! Heavenly. We left with food to bring home. I had ordered sharp and scallops on spaghetti and sauce to bring home for my husband. It was a disappointment for us. There were 2 small shrimp and the scallops were very small and had been cut in FOUR ridiculous pieces.. so 2 small shrimp and 2 small scallops cut to make EIGHT tiny tiny pieces. There was ot eoug protein r the price. Would of been better off ordering the delicious filling shrimp scampi that was ,Nine dollars cheaper. I realize prices have gone up on seafood but I would of paid $15 more. for a few more shrimp and a couple of scallops. Please at this tell your fingers what amount of seafood they can expect in their meal. In all my dining experience was wonderful and I highly recommend Jax as your waitress. We are taking our grandson this Wednesday evening for his birthday. Hope Jax...
Read moreFlavorless, overpriced, just not much I can ever say when I eat here besides being disappointed. Truth be told I'd have given the place a one star, but the staff are delightful and friendly, and they do still give you free bread. But those two points would be the only reason I eat here. The menu is filled with overpriced frozen garbage, I'm fairly certain half of it wasn't even cooked so much as microwaved.. and they have the gall to charge eighteen dollars for their entree?! To be honest, I wouldn't even complain about the price if they just gave you more, but they really do try to give you a fancy small portion of something from a bag. Doing get me wrong, the food isn't un-edible, but it's not flavorful or seasoned to say the least. The Eggplant Parmesan I had was greasy, upset my stomach before even getting the chance to leave the restaurant, and was three tiny slices of eggplant that was like half burnt breading. Just in general there are too many things to complain about so I'll finish this review with the few positives. The staff was super friendly and our waitress was very attentive. The bread was the best part of the meal, and it was free. If you come here, I'd say come to enjoy hanging out with friends and having a drink while munching on free bread and something cheap. But personally I would recommend any place else first. Like Olive garden, even. Sorry for being so harsh with the review, I've literally waited over a week to make sure I still felt this way before posting it, and nothing changed so I feel it's quiet deserved. Been there twice, probably won't ever...
