First things, first I have been working a lot lately so this was my first night to actually take the family out to eat. We arrived here and waited 10 minutes to be seated without a greeting or acknowledgement of walking in the premises. The restaurant WAS NOT even at half capacity. After being seated our server showed up around 5 or so minutes later. Our server was very personable, interacted with our children well, listened and wrote down our order. This is everything that would seem to lead to a great experience. This was not the case. They did well at the beginning then neglected us a bit due to issues in the kitchen. We ordered an appetizer and it was not even room temperature it was ICE COLD, this was the spinach queso if anyone really wants to know. My wife and I talked and decided to send it back and just snack on the chips and salsa. No big deal. Our order was taken whenever the appetizer was brought out which was about 15 minutes after being seated etc. Our kiddos were getting restless and we decided to check the time. It had been around 30 minutes since we had put in the order and still no food. Our server had since then only checked on us 1 time and that was the time that we had sent back the cold appetizer. At the 45 minute mark the food for my wife and kiddos came out. The grilled cheese was definitely microwaved, the grilled chicken bites for the other kiddo was literally a chicken breast cut into 3 slices. This actually made me chuckle a bit. My wife's food was decent but room temperature. I was told that my food was not even ready. At this point I told them I did not want the food and to keep it. They brought it out anyway. So I picked up the plate to move it to the end of the table and the plate was lukewarm. The manager made excuses but they weren't feasible. They explained that they were under staffed stating they had 3 people in the kitchen and couldn't keep up with the 6 tables in the restaurant..... etc... etc....
TLDR: Cold food and more so terrible service. Don't waste your time or MONEY here. There are plenty of other restaurants around to check out. I will definitely not be going back to Chili's in probably at any location due to...
Read moreWe came after the lunch rush for dessert.Lava chocolate cake yummy. The waitress tried to tell us how big it was and perhaps share one. Not us! We had just eaten a surprising good lunch at KI MEXICO. I HAD NOT BEEN TO CHILIS IN A LONG WHILE TO SOMEONE WANTING MORE THAN SANDWICH AND FRIES. THE MENU WAS LIMITED HOW EVER THE SERVICE WAS A-1. MY SMALL LUNCH AT KI MEXICO WAS NOT GOING TO CARRY ME TO SUPPER LIKE MOST LUNCHES DO. SO I ORDERED A RIBEYE,WITH SHRIMP (extra) and broccoli. I like my Broccoli cooked not brely steamed but I did not tell waitress and I got it to go.The lava cake was death by chocolate good. But the star of the show #1 was the big very big cup of mashed potatoes all the way. A hefty portion of super creamy mashed potatoes fresh, homemade. Topped with butter, sour cream, cheese and a handful of bacon bits. When I got home those potatoes caught my eye every time I walked past the bar. We had had no breakfast and a tasty but small early lunch. By 5pm I could not stand it any longer. The steak was medium, but had no marbling so the taste suffered some. And my weight conscience daughter still does not understand that you can't remove all the fat before cooking unless you like the taste of shoe leather. I was interested in the steak but those potatoes were what I wanted to try. I stirred them really good put a small pat of butter on them covered them and microwaved for one minute. Stirred again and put the lid on the container.I tasted the steak, it was okay needed some fat. Passed on the Broccoli, opend the potatoes to a rich steamy smell. Wow I wonder if I could go back and buy the potatoes alone. Awesome. I ate the large portion of potatoes and I had eaten about 5 bites of lava cake. 3 bites of steak and I was hopelessly too full to even eat one more bite of steak. The prices were a little much for the entre portion but hey when your out with your granddaughter in from college and doesn't even know she attracts a lot of attention from the opposite sex. You have a ball watching what you used to do. Playing cat and mouse and fluttering...
Read moreThe meal started out well. Our server did a great job multitasking orders, acknowledging we had someone celebrating a birthday with us, and I even made it simple for her to keep everything on one check.
Everyone had an appetizer and was promptly served, except for the birthday boy. Everyone's main meal came out, except for the birthday boy. I had to grab the attention of a different table's server to have ours come to our table to bring it to their attention. Most everyone's meal came with a dessert, and I had to again flag the server down and asked to be served.
We waited a long time, and finally I stood up and asked to speak with a manager. I thought the person went to get a name, but they wiped down a table or two, said they were going to seat another guest, and gave the manager come speak with me. While waiting, some staff come out of the kitchen signing happy birthday, and brought our desserts. When the server who was going to get the manager came back to me to tell me they were going to get the manager, I told them to forget about it, twice, because I didn't want to embarrass my son, especially now that the remainder of the food came out.
When the manager came to our table, he was polite, nice, and asked how he could be of assistance. Again, not wanting to make a scene, I told him to forget about it. He prompted to help a second time, because he could clearly see I had a problem, but I told him not to worry about it.
The check was taking forever to come to the table, so I began to check out on the table kiosk. Navigating the menu was cumbersome, our rewards weren't recognized, and when I went to print the receipt, 14 inches of paper came out with nothing printed on it.
No one in our party complained about the food though. It tasted good. The service...
