Sadly.....I don't known of one nice thing to write about this business. And let me lead with they were NOT busy! Ah!! One thing was Edward...not really sure if he was our waiter or not....3 people came to our table and that was only with requests for items that should have been presented had they even been remotely attentive.....I get ahead of myself. We were excited to try this one since we loved our first experience in Coppell, Texas. NOT the case in this First Watch. The lady that was supposed to GREET people and seat them as they entered......I don't know that you can say she was a Hostess. Very sour attitude, not friendly or kind..... Once we were taken to our table, I immediately noticed old lettuce on my seat. Shaking my head at this point, the table was not wiped off as well. One lady greeted us at table and took our order. Another woman delivered our food, mine was lukewarm sadly. We needed refills and had to ask another waitress to get our waiter. At that point, Edward came over and asked if everything was alright, we simply asked for refills. As we were sitting there, VERY disappointed due to our first experience being wonderful in Coppell, TX....we noticed one lady sweeping, moving very slow not motivated to do more....there was toilet paper all along the floor outside of the restroom. Sadly we feel that the employees of this facility are not motivated to excel in customer service. Rude hostess, lack of waitress skills bar Edward, and lack of cleanliness of the restaurant. The owner should do a deep dive and clean house with this investment....#undercoverboss

I would give 5 stars for the service but nothing about the place will have me begging to come back. I came on a rainy Saturday in the afternoon. The place was packed, and I had to sit aside with friends to wait for a table to open. This took about 20 minutes. That didn't bother me. When we sat down, we were given menus that had no pictures to give us a clue of what we may be eating. Just all text from top to bottom with price and calorie count. We surfed on our cell phones to their website and found the pictures instead. The time to get our food was very reasonable timing. I had gotten a Market Hash served with some kind of sauce, two pieces of glazed toast and some fruit. The bread alone was a lot better than the main dish. The Market Hash barely had a taste, as if they were afraid to season and add some kick to make my taste buds beg for more. I didn't eat all of it. I tried. The Red Medicine drink was very good. My friends weren't impressed with their food either. This restaurant is probably more ideal to customers who are more conscious about diet, calories, and fresh eating without much additives. That's the vibe it gave me. Other than that, the environment was very cozy, pretty to look at. Not too bright or too dark inside. I would have loved to been able to come there and glance over study notes during my college years. Loved the atmosphere. I suggest visiting their website to find what you may want to eat first.

This place was super busy when we walked in around 9am on a Sunday. We got a table easily as there was only two of us. The server immediately greeted us and took our drink orders. The menu here is very extravagant and detailed and included calorie counts for the folks that are conscientious about that. I ordered the extravagant egg sandwich along with the million dollar bacon. My girlfriend ordered the BLT Benedict. One of the things that bothered us was the wait time. We waited about 20 minutes to get our food so if you show up in a peak time, expect to wait. When the food arrived the presentation was very appealing. The sandwich was just good, not out of this world but it was made very well. The bacon made us drool. It was thick strips covered in black pepper and maple syrup. I would recommend sharing this. The sweetness became overwhelming as well as the pepper started to dominate my taste buds. Overall, the service was still good and the food is high quality. I will definitely come back to try some of the other menu items.

I like first watch, I do; I also considered it a nice option for when Another Broken Egg is extremely busy. But todays visit was markedly different from the rest and the only difference I could detect was the new manager Michelle. She made me feel like a second rate customer and one that didn’t even ping on her radar as for customer service anyone should receive. I came in to place a to-go order, I see her at the hostess stand and just assumed she was a hostess. Unlike other times when the hostess placed my order she said she would find someone to take my order then proceeds to go bus tables. I would like to add so there was no one waiting to be checked out or anything of the sort she just left me there to go attend to tables that other servers were also busing in the area. She comes back to tell me that she’s still waiting on someone to take my order. Now why she couldn’t I still don’t understand because she was there at the hostess stand waiting for other people. Minutes go by and an older lady comes in and says she’s waiting for her companion before being seated, she’s offered water and she goes to sit down in the waiting area. I am still standing at hostess stand waiting for someone to take my order. Never once in the 30 odd minutes I was in the restaurant did Michelle EVER offer me water or anything else. She never ONCE went to check on my order until after I had waived a waitress over to check on it myself , she only asked me if I wanted to pay after three other waitresses had checked on me. She made frequent eye contact but never uttered a word or anything of the nature. YET the waiters saw how long I had been there and offered me refreshments and my ticket among other things. These are basic common courtesies in food and hospitality industry, not only that but it is something the hostess did herself when I was there the previous times I visited First Watch. Even if those hostesses went over and beyond , Michelle is a MANAGER and should be ensuring I am getting what I need not ignoring my existence. I didn’t need her to chat me up as she did others that checked out , I didn’t need a buddy -buddy interaction but to feel like I’m invisible is not ok. What makes it even worse is what I observed of how Michelle interacted with other people in the restaurant itself. It is drastic to use the race card but I was the only person she treated that way other than the staff. I resemble the staff in race not the majority of customers that she was overly bubbly with. Which was another thing that compounded the problem as I sat there waiting.

So, I cannot and will not in good conscious go back to that restaurant as long as Michelle is working there. Not only does she need to be observed when she’s not aware of it so that others can see how that would affect the business. But she is in dire need of some...

I normally do not do alot of reviews but I was so disappointed I just felt it was needed. We are not from the area but come in at least once or twice a month. This is how our experience went: we got to the restraunt and walked in the door and went to the counter to check in..no pleasantries were exchanged and I told the hostess we were a party of two... to which she immediately said it would be a 10 to 15 minute wait to which I asked her if that included outside, as I noticed a table that was empty when we walked up. She looked, saw the table was empty and took us out to it. It had not been cleaned but she sat us anyway. There was a highchair at our table and as she was walking away, some other customers said they would take it for their child and she offered to take it inside and clean it for them. I thought when she came back she would bring a rag and wipe down our table. She did not. It took about ten minutes before our waiter even acknowledged us eventhough he had made multiple trips out on the patio helping other customers. I waved him down. We finally got our drinks ordered and he did not even ask us if were ready to order our food. At this time I asked him to wipe down our table. He did. When our drinks came out they were dropped at our table and we were told another waitress would be helping us. SHE at least was friendly but when she dropped off my coffee did not ask if I needed anything for it, which I did. We finally got our order in and the waited an additional 25 minutes to get it. It was an omlette and one pancake. Food was ok but with them being rated number three you would think it would have been better, but I know this is more based on taste then anything. We eat and then go to pay. We wait 15 minutes or so to pay and the hostess asks "how was everything and we reply "the food was not good and the service was even worse" her reply "ok thank you" I do...
