Smallcakes Shreveport — Restaurant in Shreveport

My Husband and I decided we would give this place a try after tasting samples cakes at a business expo. When we first walked into the store we were not greeted by the young ladies behind the counter. There was dead silence, no suggestions or assistance in making choices. They both just stared at us until we made a decision. I was looking at the ice cream. No offer to sample or suggestions made. We purchase 4 cupcakes. Red velvet, cookies and cream, chocoholic and crunchy salted caramel. The pretzel on top of cupcakes was stale and had no crunch. The chocoholic cupcakes wasn’t impressive. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I was greeted right away from the staff and told about the specials. I was offered to try the different ice cream flavors. I decided but still purchased the butter cookie ice cream based off the recommendation of the staff member. Young lady was right!!! It was so bomb. I also ordered the strawberry cheesecake and peanut butter cup cupcake and they were so moist and just pretty to look at. Incredible, but a bit pricey (as are most cupcakes). Certainly worth the cost, to me. Their social media should also be followed, since they sometimes have surprise sales or specials.

The texture and flavor is great, and they have novelty products and flavors, occasionally limited-time, that really work well. I'm a big fan of the jarred cake leftovers, since it's a little more dense than their usual products and stores really well for my lifestyle (chaotic).

The location is also awesome, and I usually don't mention this about places I review. But, its location is really convenient for an after-meal dessert or just as a snack on your way out...
