Shogun of Shreveport — Restaurant in Shreveport

After being a loyal customer for over 20 years, our waiter tonight was so lewd and vulgar that I actually had to leave. I spoke with the owner and she had very little regard for the situation. Our table had two young ladies around 20 years old and one was pregnant. It was so obvious that he was making everyone uncomfortable, but he wouldn't stop his "locker room" talk. When I called in to speak to the owner, she made him apologize, but he instead told me that he was just doing what the kids at the table were doing - which was not true. They were sharing stories, but he took all their comments and made them into lewd, sexual remarks. I asked to speak to the owner again, he said she was busy and hung up. It was a birthday celebration that was ruined by poor taste, bad service and further bad leadership on the part of the owner. When I left I asked her to stop him from further ruining their evening, which didn't happen and she should have comped their meals for what they had to endure - she didn't even so much as give them a discount. Very unprofessional and slow service on a Saturday night. Restaurant was empty and service was slow and horrible. During hibachi experience the chef placed shrimp on my plate and while I was eating he reached on my plate and took the shrimp off of my plate and put them on someone else’s plate. So disgusting because I had already started eating the food and total disregard for me and my food. I will never eat here again. Then waitress was not using proper English, speaking slang and could not handle such a large party. I really don’t understand how they have such good reviews. The behavior they displayed has been allowed and was not just an “off night.” Lastly, the chef had his back turned to half of our party while cooking because they had a large party at a table with a split hibachi grill, so half the party didn’t experience the show, isn’t that the point of going to hibachi? I’m just totally disgusted...

Came in this evening, October 6th 2024. Was celebrating our one year anniversary early came in and ordered the shogun seafood number 18 on the menu and also ordered two sushi rolls omikazi. The waitress put down steak and lobster and then brought us the sushi boat. For this meal it should have been close to $80 or around about and was charged $156.00 because of the waitress wanting to put in the order for the sushi boat which is $100 by itself and needless to say it upset me so bad I paid and couldn’t even enjoy my meal, I had to bring it all home in a to go box, after going outside to calm myself down. The waitress was just too fast to try to explain anything to, didn’t understand what the rush was several complaints around the table including one couple didn’t receive their drinks until halfway through the meal. Very disappointed with this choice in shogun this evening. I don’t plan on returning...
