I was there today with 3 children ages 7, 5, and 2 with gluten allergies. We often eat here bc of the unwhich and have never had the issue we had today! We always order slim 5 bc the kids eat only meat and cheese and can't have bread. Today, we requested the owner to pls add mayo for us to each of the kid's slim 5 unwhich- we have done this before w no issues at all. He refused bc it was a slim 5 but offered us mayo packets. I explained that in order to add mayo w the packets to an unwhich, I would have to tear apart the wrap thus destroying the whole thing. His suggestion was to pay full price for a regular sandwich that would not need any of the toppings- he wanted me to pay 3.00 more for him to add mayo that he was willing to give to me for free. Their excuse- "it is a corporate rule bc unwich is meat, cheese, and bread" Ok- but they kept the bread and were willing to give me mayo packets for free...... Whatever happened to being human? I could understand if I was trying to be cheap and get something for free but he was willing to give me the mayo- why not show excellent customer service and just put it on the wrap for the KIDS so that their food was not all tore up?? We won't be back! We tore the wrap up and paid 31.00 to leave hungry bc the kids only ate the meat and cheese. #neveragain...
Read moreWhat is there to really say about Jimmy John's? It's a chain restaurant so it's fast food, but way better quality ingredients than Subway or so. The staff at this location are always super friendly, and they even stay open just a little bit past ten, even if they close at ten, to help make sure people getting off work have an option to grab a sandwich while most everything else in Shreveport is closed come ten pm. My sandwich of choice is always the #5, and the cookies they sell, even if they don't make them in house, are freaking amazing. The perfect amount of soft and chewy. Triple chocolate chip all the way, no hesitation! Downsides are a bit obvious, but nothing deal breaking. Limited options compared to places like Subway as far as toppings go. They got the basics, onion, tomato, pickles, etc. Aside from that they're obviously just a bit more expensive than Subway as well, but I personally think the price is well worth the...
Read moreNormally when I got to this jimmy john's i get good service, but all it took was one time extremely rude time to lose my business. I made a simple request... "no mayo" after i ordered my sandwich. When the cashier repeated my order to the person making the sandwich he left out the no mayo part. I had assumed he just didn't here me. So i of course say "no mayo" one more time so they understand. This time i know they heard it as the cashier repeated it to the person making the sandwich. I made it very clear to all the people involved in the sandwich making process that i didn't want mayo. And sure enough when i arrive back at home the sandwich had mayo. They heard my request for no mayo and blatantly ignored it for whatever reason. It was extremely rude and ruined my meal. I would not recommend anyone go to this Jimmy John's because whatever request you make might get ignored and ruin your meal like mine. I know i wont be...
