Although the food seems to have become extremely overpriced since the last time I ate here, I still enjoyed my meal. It was well prepared but it was not worth the amount of money I paid for it. The service, however, was a bit shocking to say the least. I've always been a fan of McAlister's and I've never eaten at one where the service was bad. So this is a first for me where the service sucked. As soon as we walked in, there were three employees standing there talking. One went to the back and the two others continued talking. They never greeted us when we walked in, which was awkward because there was literally no one else in the restaurant at that time, and never offered to take our order. So fine, we spoke up and she takes our order. I'm not given a receipt, I'm not told thank you or even given a smile. We didnt see a smile the entirety of our time there! Nothing else was said until our food was ready and they screamed at us to come get it from the front. The girl who is supposed to be working the register spent the entire time back in the kitchen flirting with the boys, sometimes loud enough to be heard across the restaurant. She also stayed back there while another customer and I were standing at the front waiting. And waiting. And waiting. After so long, I verbally called out to her "Ma'am? Ma'am!" Nothing. Yes, she heard me. It was her decision to ignore us and finish her conversation with the boys in the kitchen. The situation was extremely uncomfortable for me and my family, who were with me, because we genuinely felt like an inconvenience to the staff. We did not feel welcome at all. We will be back to McAlister's in the future, but it will not...
Read moreThe only reason for the 2 star is because the food is very good. But I placed an order for Waitr for a sandwich and a salad. When I received my order, the salad was missing. I called the store and spoke to a manager, Jared. He offered to refund the order or "write down" my name so I could pick it up later. I elected to pick it up immediately because unfortunately I've had this happen before and I know taking down my name doesn't actually work. I wasted my time before work driving there, which is why I elected to use Waitr in the first place, and then waited for 10 minutes at the "to go" counter with a DoorDash driver, who eventually shouted at someone walking past. Up walks Jared himself, who hands the driver a bag, but when she says she's also waiting on a drink, he turned and made eye contact with me, and then just walked away from us. The driver waited again for the lady at the counter to finally acknowledge her between customers and got her drink. I waited until someone walked past and finally got my salad.
I got home and the salad dressing wasn't sealed, it had spilled all over the inside of the bag. So now I have a pointless salad anyway, just to make things worse.
Not once did anyone just APOLOGIZE. Not even when I spoke to Jared on the phone. Any manager knows that a simple apology goes a long with with an...
Read moreGuess I’m a person that leaves google reviews now because I don’t think I’ve ever had a worse restaurant experience. Had a gift card for $40 and haven’t eaten there in ab 10yrs. Def will not go back or least to this location. The place was completely empty at 6 on a Sunday so that should’ve been first red flag. No one greeted me when I came in even though there was at least 3 people behind in the kitchen - a lady eventually looked out the kitchen window, but did not speak to me or even really look AT me, though it’s impossible she didn’t see me. Thankfully I placed my order online and just took my bag off the shelf after a couple minutes of standing around. I should’ve checked for everything because they forgot one of our sides and left a potato without half the fixings. If we didn’t have the gift card we would’ve been out of almost $50 for dry, bland, lukewarm food and absolutely no service whatsoever. I can spend the same money on a really nice steak place literally 3 min from this McAlister’s and get drinks for two and ACTUALLY...
