First time eating at moe's. They are kinda like the subway build your own burrito style of southwestern chain/restaurant. This establishment is located in busy shopping center with plenty of other restaurants surrounding it. The building itself is a shared space with other stores, moe's has the corner space of the building. The interior is well decorated pretty much the same modern stylings you would expected to see in a chain style restaurant to try to give itself a personality. They have the menu on the wall or in little foldable menus, with cute little names for their burritos and quesadillas, me and my wife got the earmuffs basically a burrito served in a bowl without the tortilla. All menu selections come with chips and they have various dips you can try. Now the food itself is pretty bland and nondescript even for Tex-Mex the steak tips are soaked all day long in a broth since this is a build your own burrito style establishment, which is also a downside because the quality of the food and freshness suffers because of it. My rice was either over cooked or under cooked so I had hard crunchy rice. The lettuce was wilted and soggy. And the chips that they served with their dishes tasted like stale tostitos chips. What boggled my mind is the amount of people that were lined up to eat there, as I've said this area has no shortage when it comes to authentic as well as Tex-Mex Mexican cuisine restaurants that are far superior in quality and in taste. after trying moe's i would rank it maybe just above taco bell because the only saving grace is that it wasn't very expensive. So I can only guess that people eat there either out of convience being so close to all of the other stores or maybe its because they are not that expensive or they have never had good Mexican food. But for me I seriously doubt that I will be visiting moe's in the...
Read moreVery, very, very disappointed with the service we received last night. We waited app.15 minutes in line while the workers talked amongst each other. After the shift supervisor fixed our nachos, my food sat for app. 10 minutes uncovered. When we finally made it to the register, the worker kept trying to charge me extra for queso even though there wasn't any cheese on my nachos. I ordered it on the side because the wait time was so long, my chips would have been soggy. Nachos were nothing like ones I have ordered in the past. The big hunks of steak were not seasoned or well cooked. Then certain parts of the meat were burnt. Workers were talking a lot to each other and over the food. Worst customer service I have ever received here and worst food quality I have ever received from this location. I completed the survey about my experience. No one contacted me. I deserve a full refund. I have had 2 bad experiences with food in Shreveport this week. I hope this gets rectified soon. We did not eat all of the food even though I really had a taste for Moe's nachos. If this would have been my 1st time, I would never go back. I...
Read morePricey and much to be desired. I heard one person-the young lady making my family's order- say "hello, welcome to Moe's", which she mumbled with no enthusiasm. She was very uncaring and robotic as she asked me and my children what we wanted. The morale in that place was off-duty that day. Fajita onions and bell pepper were not sauteed, and almost raw. Bell pepper was approximately an inch to an inch and a quarter in width and raw. I sincerely question whether they followed the proper prep procedures. The place was largely empty, indicative of the lackluster, robotic, unenthusiastic performance. Consumers have other quick-casual texmex options, and they will likely begin to exercise their prerogative and go elsewhere if situations like my recent experience don't improve dramatically, overnight. Treat your customers like valued guests or you won't have any.
