Update Nov 2024: I still enjoy the idea of this place, unlimited toppings for one price is nice. That said, the staff are not nearly as friendly or happy as they used to be. More than once recently we've stopped in to get dinner on the way home and felt as if the staff didn't want to be there. Once I got the shorter gentleman who seems to be focused on speed. He rapidly asks which ingredients and slops them on top without care or concern. Another time a young lady helped me and not only seemed miserable and put out by having to be there but also didnt listen very well. I asked for white sauce on a pizza and she started putting red sauce, perhaps out of habit? I also noticed on the mega salad they go heavy on the lettuce/greens (which hasn't been as fresh lately) and do very small amounts of each topping unless you ask for more. The staff used to be so friendly and helpful so it is a surprising change that makes me less likely to return. I will say the folks handling the cooking part typically seem nicer than the folks taking the orders and checking you out. I typically go in the evening so maybe they're just burnt out by that time but it is disappointing.
OG Review 2022: The pizza and salad ingredients are fresh and delicious. The variety of toppings available and customization options for your meal, make it worth the price. Staff are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Everytime we visit the place is clean and not overcrowded. We love the fresh fountain tea options and the no-name cake makes a yummy treat for dessert. We have added Mod to the short list of restaurants in Sierra Vista that we still trust for cleanliness, quality food & great customer service! Keep up...
Read moreHuge Rave for Mod Pizza. I wasn't having a really good day last week and had ordered pizza online or so I thought. When I got there, I was told by the manager, Jose, that there was no online order for me. I was almost going to just leave because I was already irritated before I even got there but I decided to get in line and order my meal in person. When I got to the register to pay, I was told that it was "taken care of," and I was all set. I said "No, I haven't paid for it yet" and the guy repeated "No, you're good." So I just accepted that it would be free and as I waited for my pizza to be ready I looked on my phone and saw that I had never completed the order that I thought I had made online. I didn't think it was fair that I was getting a free pizza because of my error. The manager on duty certainly didn't have to comp my meal but since I was shown grace, I told him what had happened and offered to pay for the next person's meal that came into the restaurant. Jose rang up a gift card for the next person, along with a generous tip. I made sure to let him know that he completely turned my day around by his kindness because what had been not such a great day had turned into a really good one because of what he did for me by just showing me a little bit of consideration and generosity, and I made sure to be generous in return. He was such a blessing to me which made me want to be a blessing to someone else. Great job, Jose!! Not all managers in those situations handle it with such professionalism and courtesy to their customers. A little kindness goes a very long way, and the food was as...
Read moreI've seen many in this town rave about this mod pizza, so I decided to try it out here. We've had Mod Pizza in other parts of the country in the past, they are good if done right.
I made an online order so I could pick up quick and on time, yet my milkshake was not ready for me. The person cutting & handing out the pizza yelled out asking if someone else could make a milkshake, another lady yelled out that she could, great! Except, she went to the machine and then proceeded to help other customers and promptly forget about my shake. I looked at the lady who gave me my order initially and she avoided eye contact as much as possible. I finally went up to the counter and waited till the employees were done talking to ask about my milkshake and finally it was made.
I didn't think to check my pizzas, my bad.. Went back to the hotel only to see my orders were wrong. Is it that hard to read? As someone else suggested, employees should focus on completing one order, attending to one customer at a time, to ensure the orders are done right. Quite a simple concept, and it is too easy to tell other customers that you will be right with them while you finish an order the right way. It was definitely a waste of my time since my order...
