Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in Sierra Vista

Dropping this from four stars to one star because, just went in there looking for a sleeping bag. There was not one person on duty who is knowledgeable about camping gear or sleeping bags, I could probably get more help at Walmart than I got here today. The prices were good very competitive with Walmart, but there was a noticeable lack of truly knowledgeable sports gear sales clerks in a specifically sports specialty store. The woman who waited on me at first was rude quick and it might as well have been McDonald's. Then I found somebody underneath her who was training and she was very nice but she knew nothing about camping gear Sporting goods or sleeping bag, with a torn stuff bag. I have never owned a sleeping bag where the stuff bag gave out or tore even after 30 years. The sleeping bag always wears out before the stuff bag. I figured if they're going to sell me a brand new sleeping bag with a torn stuff bag the bag itself must not be very good. Left here feeling like there would be more expertise at Walmart sporting goods not good for Big 5 Sporting goods store a specialty shop. I'm assuming Walmart is already putting you out...

I decided yesterday to give Big Five in Sierra Vista another chance. I had been in there a month ago to buy shoes and they were very unhelpful and almost rude! However, we all have our bad days so I gave it another chance and after today I will so my best to shop at another sporting goods store if I need something from one. My son and I went looking for shoes again and again they were just not very helpful! I understand not having what were looking for but it least act like you care to help your customers! Second we were looking at the rifles and BB guns and I had a couple questions. The guy behind the counter was helping someone else, so we patiently waited and he walked with him to the cashier came back and I thought he was going to say "can I help you"? No such luck! He walked into the little office area and shut the door!! Didnt even acknowledged our existence! I had to go find someone else who was stocking to help us! It's just so rude! Its least say, "Iam very busy, someone will be right with you"!...

Rude staff. First we went in and I was there to get new hikers. But, I had to use the restroom. Asked for the restroom and was told no. Go next door to Peter Pipers or Big Lots. So we left and went to the Valero. I can understand if I wasn't a customer, but I was going to be. So, we came back and went to the shoes. We'll, I found a couple I wanted to try on. There was 2 employees just standing there flirting with each other. When they finally stopped, my husband had to flag the guy down. Told him what I wanted and he brought out 2 sizes, because he couldn't remember from 2 seconds before what I said. Then he handed me one, set the other down and walked away again. The shoe were piling up. He never came back to check on us, so we left and we are ordering from Amazon. They lost a good customer. This is why...
