I am deeply dissatisfied with my order. Not only was the order incorrect, but I was charged an obscene amount. If it wasn't for my wife liking Little Caesars, I would never order from this chain again.
For context, here is the order, exactly as i say it over the phone. "I would like TWO cheesy breads, and on BOTH of them add onion and pineapple."
I understand that this is an unusual order, as people don't usually order toppings on their cheesy bread; why not just order a pizza? Well, it's because this is what my wife likes. The store we frequented back in our home state understood how to ring this up, we never had an issue. They always either rang it up as a large deep dish with 2 toppings, or as two cheesy breads, and charged ONE topping for each. For more context, the "topping on the side" charge is the equivalent of a large pizza topping, which is why they always charged for just one topping. Either way it was rang up, we never paid more than $15.
So now here I am in Sierra Vista, AZ. I call in the order exactly like I wrote before. The guy seemed confused, understandably, but I clarified the order. When I went to pick it up, he brought out one cheesy bread. I said it was supposed to be two, and he said well it's only one.
I have worked in customer service before, and specifically in restaurants, so I understand mistakes can be made, and I always try to be polite. I asked how long it would take them to make the second cheesy bread, since I had ordered two. He said thirty minutes. I said that I was not placing a new order, I wanted my original order of two cheesy breads. When a mistake is made on an order, you don't make the customer wait as if it is a brand new order. You prioritize their order, so that they get the correct food ASAP.
Well he said it would still be thirty minutes, so I said forget it and I'll just take the one. He rang me up and it was over $13. For ONE cheesy bread. At this point I was angry, the store was full of customers, and I just wanted to leave. So I paid and left. I looked at the receipt, and he rang it up as a cheesy bread, and added two toppings on the side.
As I stated, i have worked in restaurants before. I know how margins work. Little Caesars pays about 25 cents for the handful of pineapple and onion that was on the cheesy bread. Other stores realize this, and charge us appropriately. There's no way I should be charged $5 for a handful of onion and pineapple.
So not only did I not get the order I placed, but I was charged $13 in total for what should have been a $7.50, at most, order.
The worst part is that this isn't the first store we had the pricing issue with. I have previously sent an email to corporate asking for help with getting correct pricing from their stores, and I never received a response. Apparently once Little Caesars had your money, they don't care about your satisfaction. As I said at the beginning, if it wasn't for my wife liking the cheesy bread, I would never order from this...
Read moreLittle Caesars pizza is what it has always been cheap and reasonably good quality. But it also used to be quick which is why we dealt with the less than stellar quality. This is not the place for a quick pizza & breadsticks anymore or at least not at certain times of the day.
We stopped in on our way home and they were so slammed with online orders that they were actively deterring walk-in customers from ordering. The gentleman at the front was in good spirits and friendly enough but was himself complaining about how busy the online orders have made the store even if he made it sound joking.
The rest of the staff were too busy trying to keep up with the orders to do much else. When the front cashier (who might have been in charge hard to say) realized the crew hadn't put some trays in the oven that he had been waiting on, I realized there was no point in waiting since I hadn't paid yet. I saw several other customers come in and leave empty handed and there were multiple people waiting on online orders as well. That's a shame and it seems like they need more staff or to limit the number of online orders that can be entered at one time to allow their team a chance to keep up...
Read moreThis Little Caesars changed management last year...they got off to a good start but now the service is even worse...I have been to this location several times over the past two months, and the excuse is always the same: "I'm sorry we don't have any pizzas to go, we got slammed." Got slammed...at different times of the day?! I call b.s. on the whole thing...the attitude behind the counter is "Oh, well..." Pretty bad...maybe they need to get some people in there who actually want to work. Not good, Little Caesars.
Update 11/26/2024
Looks like things have gone from bad to worse at this Little Caesars...seems like the food prep area has become more of a social event rather than a workplace...today's projected wait time for any 'hot and ready' pizzas? 90 minutes...and the same lame-ass excuse as always..."We got slammed." Ridiculous and shameful. If I could go back and change that 1-star rating I gave this place to '0', I would. Appears that the people working there simply just don't care. You know, if the owners of this LC don't care, maybe they should sell it to someone that does. Otherwise, it's a disservice to...
