Going through the drive-thru, we ordered 3 drinks. Waited a while for the person in front of us to get their order, even though our drinks could be brought out through the side door, as is my experience working at Sonic in the past. We pull up to the window, the employee slammed the window open on my husband's arm as he was trying to pay on screen below said window, she said our total is $2.42 and slammed the window closed. So that was already a red flag, we then wait another few minutes, 2 of our drinks are sitting there inside the drive-thru window. Eventually the rude employee opens the window again, and tells us that we paid for the person BEHIND US. Then she said she has to get her manager, which she should have already done before telling us this! We have been in the line for over 10 minutes at this point. We continue to wait for said manager who never appears, the rude employee then comes back and says that she's refunding it, and that we have to now pay for our order. My husband immediately says that he wants the refund receipt, and she closes the window while he is speaking, and disappears. The manager finally shows up hands us the refund receipt and tells us that we should have noticed the amount we were paying on the screen that we can barely read, and how it is OUR fault. Even though it was THEIR fault for bumping our order in the first place. The manager NEVER apologized, just blamed us and smirked the entire time as we spoke to him, he was rude and condescending. I worked at Sonic for a long time in high school, we have been to many of them being prior military and moving all over the country, this was the worst location we have encountered. This location was our first, and last visit. The employees need to be trained in basic customer service, and the so-called smirking manager who thought our situation was humorous while his establishment made this mistake, then corrected us like we were in the wrong for paying for what we thought was our order?? He should lecture his rude drive-thru window employee instead. The manager should be demoted to working at the fryer, he should not deal directly with paying customers.
Gee, sorry that we were the dumb...

I just had one of the worst experiences at our local Sonic in Sierra Vista. Let me tell you, Demari, the girl who took our order, was an absolute disgrace to customer service. Her nasty attitude was apparent from the very start, and she made what should’ve been a quick stop for two sodas a frustrating nightmare.
I visit this location 2-3 times a day, so I know what good service looks like—and this was the polar opposite. Today, I waited over 15 minutes in the drive-thru for two simple sodas that were already pre-ordered through the app. When I pressed the red button to check on our order, Demari greeted us with an unnecessarily aggressive “Hello,” dripping with attitude. It wasn’t just a bad day kind of tone—it was downright nasty and disrespectful.
When she took our order, her tone didn’t improve, and when she finally brought the drinks to the car, her demeanor was excessively rude. The entire interaction was uncomfortable and infuriating. She acted as if she was being forced to deal with us, despite her literal job being customer service.
Demari is the definition of someone who should NOT work with the public. Her behavior was unprofessional, hostile, and completely uncalled for. For someone who frequents this location multiple times a day, this experience felt like a slap in the face. Sonic, if you care about your customers and your reputation, you need to reevaluate who you hire, starting with Demari.
What a sorry excuse for customer service. After today, I’m seriously reconsidering ever coming back to this location. Do better, Sonic. This is...
Read moreWe always have a generally good experience at Sonic, and will return.
Today was a bad experience. The employees were fast and friendly, as always. However, the order was wrong on multiple points. Sizes wrong, one meal was completely left out, and both burgers done wrong. The car hop was very friendly and willing to get it fixed without hesitation. Great!
I eventually had to get out of my car to approach the building and let the car hop know of another problem with the order. Car hop again provided fantastic attitude about the whole situation. But at this point, I asked the car hop if he could just provide us with fresh meals, as we were not interested in eating our meals seperately or in eating any part of our meal cold. He responded that he would speak with the manager (which is who I am directing this review at).
The car hop quickly returned with my meals and some coupons. The car hop handled this situation wonderfully. But when I come to Sonic, I just come for a hot meal, produced quickly and delivered properly done. That is all. The expectations are simple and logical. It is what you are in business for. To throw coupons at me instead of just providing a fresh meal was rude and more of a reaction than a managed decision. We look forward to more Sonic. But hope our expectations arent...
