McDonald's — Restaurant in Siloam Springs

This is, without doubt, the best McDonald's establishment I've ever eaten at. Consider, first, the 24 hours service that is available to the customer. I finished Infinite Jest in one of those booths, discussed Macro-Economics for four hours, Post-modern continental theory, etc. and all this after the late hour of 11:00 pm. I don't know any other restaurant in Siloam also open at this hour besides, perhaps, the Waffle House......hmmmm? Or the food. I understand sometimes things get carried away at the mustard station backstage. I understand the unpredictable flux of hungry customers can result in a batch of fries sitting open to the air and getting dried and shriveled. However, this particular establishment seems to get some type of grade A material unavailable to almost any other Mick Don's, and I swear Gordon Ramsey is running the kitchen in terms of presentation and preparation(not saying anyone backstage is swearing). I saw another review suggesting that the tables were quote, "nasty". Have you been to the Mr. McDonald's house over at the local Wal-Mart. It's like the Housefly's version of the People's Republic of China. In closing, I guess I should say that this is my second favorite restaurant in town behind La Huerta. Who cares if the flatscreens cycle through the menu so that its hard to glimpse the special items. Who cares if monopoly month almost never pays off. I went to this establishment over 100 times last year(and not just because its McDons), and it feels almost like home the way an airport does. Two stars because they were nice. However they need more workers. They were working hard in the back and are super busy outside. Maybe hire a person who specifically cleans and restocks, because the health and food department should be all over this one! The bathroom was out of soap in one of the dispensers which whatever, but the toilet paper was empty. Be ready to squat pee if in a hurry. There was blood and/or pee on the toilets. So pick the less dirty one if desperation strikes. Every surface was sticky. The kiosk was covered in greasy prints. Getting soda or sweet tea, or getting lids was all sticky. The tea was empty. The countertops themselves covered in sticky fluids. Be careful when you choose your seating. I was scared to sit anywhere and instantly pulled my son out of the play area so we could sit and eat. But looking around was making me nauseated and grossed out. The floors dont look mopped in a while.... The walls and windows are smeared with gunk (mystery fluids). The trash cans are covered in old sauces with straws stuck on the sauce. We sat for 5 minutes and i told my child to finish in the car. He didnt touch his food after we left and i threw away my drink. I feel like i need a bath. Will not be returning to this location. With all the illnesses going around this was a big NoNo! McDonald's is moving to a self-service mentality. The front end staff do their best to discourage you from going to the counter and having someone assist you with your order. Instead, utilizing the self-order kiosks.

I went in yesterday and utilized one of the kiosks for my order. Another patron got her order and then came back to the front counter wanting to get some Picante sauce. I was standing near her.

Two employees walked past her, not asking if the could help her. Another staff member, come to find out she was the manager, saw her standing there and just went on about her business, which included working on a couple of shakes, back to us.

Finally I said "ma'am", I ended up saying this 4 times, the last two times even louder. She looked around at me and turned back to what she was doing, not a word from her.

She finished the shake and walked over near me to get something. I asked her if she had heard me and the answer was yes. Long story short, when asked what I wanted I informed her that the lady wanted some sauce. She was very rude and short. So I requested a refund of my own order.

She just didn't seem to get that she was providing subpar customer service, or honestly care about how she had treated myself or that lady.
