Ordered from the Money Muscle truck at Brookmont Farmers Market, Bethesda.
The food that we received was flavorful, although it skewed slightly sweet for both our main (ribs) and the vegetable sides (collards, coleslaw.) Enjoyed the cornbread, although the $8 price for a good-sized wedge was a tad steep.
We also encountered a number of disappointments:
-Our order was incomplete. We did not receive one of our two mains (pulled pork). As we were not charged for it, we decided to let it go. -We asked for two BBQ sauces with our ribs and received none. Extremely disappointing. If the sauces were brushed directly on the meat, they weren’t discernible. -The ribs are sold by the 1/3 rack and are described as “4 bones.” You do get 4 bones, but don’t equate that with 4 ribs. One of the bones is on the outside of each rack and yields at best a half rib of meat. All told, the 1/3 rack (4 bones) delivers about 3 bones worth of meat. Very skimpy if you’re trying to feed 2 adults. If you get 2 of the 1/3 racks here, you’ll end up with the equivalent of a standard half rack of meat. Verdict: the portion sizes of the 1/3 racks are on the stingy side and you might not get as much meat as you anticipate.
Sorry to have to downgrade flavorful food to 2 stars, but service and rib portions need...

Horrible. We live down the road and this was the third time we tried this place. Both previous times were ridiculously bad but we gave it another go since it looked like they added Money Muscle BBQ and Pizza to the menu. The online menu for Money Muscle looked decent so we decided to try the BBQ this time. When we asked the cashier if the baby back ribs were good her response was "I don't know...I don't eat pork". Pro tip...hire someone who knows your product. We ordered the brisket instead and it was bone dry and way overcooked. I ordered the chicken and specifically asked for BBQ chicken. They brought me out a piece of fried chicken with a side of BBQ sauce. I mean....what the hell? The fried chicken was also dry and it was apparent it had been sitting there for a while. The sides sucked. The coleslaw is vinegar based and dry with no flavor. The beans were honestly the worst tasting BBQ beans I've ever eaten. Just avoid this place. Terrible food--terrible service. Also, there were shady people hanging out at the CBD convenience store smoking pot in public which just added another layer of terrible to the whole ordeal since we had our young...
Read moreHello, I am very upset with the service that was provided. First I work in the same building and was excited to try. However no direction on we’re I can order I went outside they told me to order inside. I ordered inside was given the wrong menu. I ordered didn’t even get to enjoy my food because I had to call the restaurant and talk to them about charging me more than what was on the menu. No one explained to me when I was in the restaurant as to why I was being charged more and that there are two different menus with the same things just that they costed more. I called and there was nothing they could do with the $5 difference. So apparently if you order inside to go, they will charge you more. Honestly by the time I tried the wing I was disappointed and they did not taste what I was expecting. To oily for me and too pink, didn’t seem all the way cooked, however they were crunchy. I don’t think...
