1/16/23 - New review, deleted prior ones. I did a review for Panera a couple of years ago, and since then, I have been back to their restaurant on a few different occasions. I stated this in my previous review: years of playing the good-bad food game. Will the service be good this time or once again lacking? I placed our order at the kiosk 2nd time using it, and both transactions went smoothly. It gives you the option to state whether you are eating in or doing takeout; if you are eating it, it asks you to grab a buzzard with a number and enter the number in; I did that. We sat down several minutes later. I received a text stating my food was ready at the counter; it was odd to me why no one brought it to us like all the other times. I proceeded to the counter, where our meals sat, but I was to carry them back to the table, not the servers. Is this something new they are doing???? It wasn't just us having issues; Another table over had similar problems. Moving on to the food! So before Christmas, we dined in, and the food was delicious; we were happy and willing to return. I got a gift card as a Christmas gift, so yesterday, we had lunch there. I had Asian Sesame salad with Chicken, and my hubby had a new sandwich called the Spicy Take Chicken Sandwich. I'll start with his first; the sandwich came with spicy buffalo sauce, crispy pickle chips, and garlic aioli on a brioche roll. Although the picture didn't show lettuce, he was disappointed that it didn't come with any. But, more disappointed in the size of the sandwich, he said it was not worth the 13-plus dollars he had paid. By just looking at it and comparing bun size, the brioche bun, in diameter, was roughly the size of a McDonald's hamburger bun, tiny. Hubby said it was ok in taste, but would never purchase again.
My Asian Sesame salad with Chicken overall was pretty good. However, was there supposed to be actual sesame seeds in this salad or just sesame oil? There were no seeds in the salad like the description stated, and the picture looked like; someone obviously forgot that part. The best part of this salad for me was the dressing, no complaints about that particular dressing! My salad was more worth the twelve dollars (even forgetting the sesame seeds) than his sandwich at thirteen plus dollars.
Panera shares a large parking lot with many other businesses including Arby's, BECU, Big 5 sporting, and several others so, maneuvering around can be difficult and painful, especially with the number of cars that area can get.

Read moreI don't usually write reviews but my disappointment on customer service on this location made me write this. We were there 12/30 at 7:34 pm. Choose another location for better customer service. I have been a customer of Panera and Paradise (owned by Panera) , and even have their rewards program, for years in Arizona and their service have been great. I have brought family and friends to eat at Panera in Texas and in California and they like it. I am visiting family in Bremerton, WA and asked them if we can eat at Panera for them to try it too. We ordered sandwiches mac and cheese for the boys and one sandwich was toasted well but burned at the edge. The waitress was rude and did not speak to us kindly. She said it is just toasted well and not burned. The lady who prepared it said the same thing. It was toasted well but too toasted that the edge was burned. Another customer saw our sandwich and agreed with us. She told us they should give us a treat since it was done right. I do know that but did not say anything since we are hungry and we have 4 little boys with us who are also hungry. I have experienced being given a treat or my food for free for mistakes Panera has made without us asking. They changed the sandwich wich and the waitress just put it on the table and left. Nobody apologized. While we were there, they only have 3 -4 groups of customers so they were not packed to be rude. Another girl at the cashier and another guy fixing bread did not smile at us. They looked like everybody was having a bad day. None of them smiled at us except for another girl who went to our table to give us a copy of our receipt bec i was not able to get one. We were so disappointed with the service and i was actually surprised abt the service that my family who lives in Bremerton do not want to eat there again. Such a...
Read moreOkay. This was my first time ever at a Panera Bread. I actually went 3 separate times in the span of 4 days. The first time was in the morning, and I had a breakfast sandwich. It was cooked pretty fast, tasted good, and I would much prefer it over McDonald's any day. In fact, it was good enough for me to order almost the same thing the next day as well. My kids, on the respective days, ordered a croissant and a smoothie. Both were good, especially for being a chain restaurant. The smoothie actually tasted like fruit. The third time I took my daughter there for lunch. She ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and I ordered the mac and cheese, which I've heard good things about. The grilled cheese sandwich looked perfectly done, and she was very happy with her sandwich. The mac and cheese, though? Honestly, I wasn't as thrilled I thought I would be. I'm a bit of a mac and cheese connoisseur, and make it from scratch at least once a month. I scoff at boxed mac and cheese. It's not that this particular cheesy noodle dish was completely unsatisfactory, it just wasn't as good as I was expecting. Too much hype in my humble opinion. I ate it, I ate it all. But i was expecting a little less salt, more creamy as opposed to saucy, and a more al dente tenderness to the noods. A quick note on drinks - I was happy to see that their drinks like aqua fresca and teas are mostly unsweetened(?). I'm not one for getting drinks at restaraunts because I'm generally disappointed by a sugary, gross, artificial mess. I was pleasantly surprised, though I can't say any particular one I tried was incredible, but they were okay and nice on a hot day. The cashiers were all nice, helpful,...
