To do an updated review, I had to delete my previous reviews here's a quick recap- The first time we ate there, we were disappointed due to everything being so soggy and burgers fell apart as we bit into them. I felt the need to give them a second chance so we went back in Aug 2019, had a better experience with the burgers and fries, however my burger was swimming in mustard and ketchup, fries not as greasy, still soft (we prefer crispy) but plenty of them. Overall we enjoyed the food that time. Oh and endless amounts of in-shell peanuts!
UPDATE 1/22/22 It has been a long time since we dined at Five Guys in Silverdale, Washington; Looking back, it was Aug 2019. My last visit was pretty decent, unlike my first visit. Walking in, I noticed fewer tables and, unfortunately, no more free in-shell peanuts, that totally was a selling point for me, darnit! One other person was dining in, aside from the workers and ourselves, that was it. We quickly looked the menu over; I gasped at how much the prices had risen since our last visit, over $9.00 for a basic hamburger, over $10 for a simple cheeseburger, and 5ish dollars for a regular fry, obviously the good thing was being able to add whatever toppings you desired for your burger, within their choices. I ordered a hamburger with mustard, ketchup, and extra grilled onions and pickles. My hubby had a cheeseburger with pickles, grilled onions, mayo and ketchup. Our visit was ok; burgers and fries were acceptable in taste. We both requested extra pickles, and grilled onions, but my burger came with only four pickles and just a few onions, hubbys, the same thing, that was a bummer, decent amount of ketchup and mustard on mine however, but not an overkill and had I not been so hungry, I would have walked up and asked for a side of onions and pickles, oh well! The fries were soft and fairly greasy, but over abundance of them, as I have said prior, If I eat french fries I prefer crispy over soft. When you eat at Five Guys, there is nothing healthy about them, you have to go in knowing that your arteries are clogging with every bite you take, lol. However for that said, I looked up their menu when I returned home and they do have a veggie sandwich they offer, I'm shocked and I'm making a mental note to try that next time! The staff was friendly enough, no bells and whistles but nothing rude by any means. The overall store was clean, It maybe due to the time we dined there which was at 11:15am. Five Guys offer a small variety of Burgers and Hotdogs, they also offer regular and cajun style french fries, a handful of sandwiches and a decent choice of milkshakes!
Five Guys and Jimmy Johns share a single building. Ample amount of space for parking. AMC Kitsap movie theater is within walking distance as well as Kitsap Mall.
Although Five Guys is a franchise they do employ a lot of local people, thank you for supporting their jobs and all local jobs and small businesses, and please be kind to ALL...
Read moreBeen a customer for quite some time now. Quality has been decreasing over time. Today's visit was disappointing. Disorganized, no one in charge. Fries were soggy and under cooked. Burger slapped together, geasy and cheese melted away. When taking patties that they smash down are taken from the flat top, a quick shake off of excess grease should be done. When placing patties on top of one another, the patty should be slid off the spatula vs laying the spatula on top of the 1st patty thereby melting the slice of cheese away. Bacon which is usually slices was over cooked and broken pieces hidden under the patties. Those in red shirts were frantic. The person in black shirt just hovered over un-finished burgers with his hands on the counter looking down waiting for the other patties to arrive. When I got there they could not find my order even though their message program said it was ready. Once found they ecxitedly said there it is and its ready. I waited another 10 min for them to finish my "ready" order. Ready must mean something different to them than me. Can't say I will not be back. It just will not be for some time. Hopefully by then they've...
Read moreThe burger was great. Fries were great. Milkshake was great. Value was about the same as Red Robin, or other similar places (no bottomless fries and no fancy buns, but the quality of the beef was clearly superior, and the flavor of everything was better than similarly priced competitors, giving it a comparable, if not greater, overall value). The negatives were about cleanliness and noise. The music was simply playing too loud for our comfort. The floor was gross, and, even when someone came out to clean it, it was left in about the same condition. No open tables were clean when we arrived, so i had to clean one myself with napkins and water. When the employee came out to clean them, all he did was use a napkin (same one for all tables) to push the bits of food and spills onto the floor... which explains why the floor was so messy. Someone needs some additional training, obviously. But, despite that, the food tasted quite good, and i will likely be back again. i give a reluctant 5 stars, assuming the cleanliness concern has more to do with an individual employee, than a systemic problem. Future visits will...
