This place doesn't shove butter in the meal to inflate the taste, which makes you feel queasy after the meal, this place it tastes good because of the skill of the chefs, and you can eat and eat and eat and you won't feel that bad sensation you get when you taste fatty buttery meals. This places tastes better than the hometown buffet I had in Turlock, which was good, but only because of the overload of butter, which after 20 minutes, had me saying "stop." I say this because the mashed potatoes here has a soft and smooth taste without that sharp taste of butter. I've been to maybe over 35+ different sushi places in my life, from New York, to Lebanon (yuck), and all over the Los Angeles area. I've been to sushi inn (now closed), on desoto and roscoe, to love sushi, near Los Angeles st and syncamoor, and ..... the sushi here is of sushi restaurant quality. I've eaten at todai, Hokkaido buffet, ichiban buffet in Florida, zen buffet at victory and west of canoga. Those places are nothing compared to this, especially todai. I swear to god, I've never had restaurant sushi taste at a buffet before. For those who don't like sushi, there is the California roll (which I used to eat at first). But I'm guessing most of the other sushi are for people who like eating seafood. Yea if you want, just come here for all you can eat sushi for 11$ lunch and 15$ dinner. There isn't variety like in a sushi restaurant, but the quality is the same. Correction, MOST of the things are not buttery, with the exception of the butter shrimp.
Plus: holy shiitake mushrooms the ice cream is good. I swear to Jesus Christ lord almighty, may he strike me down with 9k thunderbolts if this isn't true.
Plus yum warm garlic bread
List of foods: soup, ice cream, chocolate fountain, hibatchi grill, salad, deserts, plus usual...
Read moreWent tonight for my brother's and sister in law's birthday. The next table was complaining about a staff that was rude. Then my mom went to get fried bananas and it's only 7:30 and the woman in that section rudely told my mom that if she wanted fried bananas that she should have eaten her food fast and that she should have been there 20 minutes ago. We barely got sat down at 7pm. When I came to look for the same bananas the woman asked me what I was looking for and I told her bananas and with a loud voice she rudely told me no more and I asked if they're going to make more since it's only 7:40 and she rudely said yes but I should have come earlier.... she kept on talking very rude so I told her yes I want more and she said fine and loudly and rudely told me come back 20 min...I told her I want 4 bananas and she rudely said "no I told you 20 min" and I told her I'm not saying I'm coming back in 4 min I'm saying 4 bananas and she yelled and rudely told me "not 4 I told you 20 min".... she was an old Asian lady wearing a red hat and low blouse showing her upper chest. When I asked the receptionist for the name the girl said their staff don't have English name and I asked to spell it for me then and she said just let her know what happened. The food was not that good in the first place and few staff are rude. And don't bother ordering soda coz they don't ask if you want more. I was told this place was great but I don't think so. There are other Asian buffet that are a lot better and has attentive and friendly staff. I don't recommend this...
Read moreThis buffet has many of the foods you would expect to find in an Asian buffet and a few extra things. They have lunch for $10.99 and dinner for $14.99. At the quality and freshness of the food I got, I would only value my meal at $10.99. I went in on a Tuesday around 5:00pm. Maybe it was a little early. I started with the sushi rolls, they tasted ok. The texture told me they had been sitting out in the air for a while but it had a perfectly ok flavor. They seem to like to use egg in the sushi rolls as a filler. The sashimi was much better, it tasted good and fresh. The salad bar looked fresh but I don't eat salad. The hot entrees also looked to be sitting out for a while but tasted good for the most part. The clams and mussels however were not the best. They have a Mongolian BBQ in the corner, I didn't try it but they have a good selection. The desserts are exactly what you would expect to find, however they have a full ice cream bar with more than ten flavors. The staff was mostly quiet and stood off to the side chatting to each other. They were not exceptionally friendly, but they were curtious, and I had all my needs fulfilled. The restaurant was clean except for the condiments at the table. Overall, $14.99 would be acceptable for dinner if the food was more fresh, but as it was I would only go back for lunch at $10.99. I might try a weekend night when it's...
