Came here with my family on a Saturday for some late breakfast was immediately greeted by the host who go us a table rather fast and immediately was handed menus , and was greeted by who we thought was going to be our server but he asked what we wanted to drink we asked for water all around except one coffee and then 15 mins later another guy comes from behind us and says “are you ready or can I leave “ I was confused because this isn’t the first guy who helped (btw none of the gentleman who helped us introduced themselves) and we told him we were ready we felt very rushed we had some questions about the breakfast burrito , like the salsa it came with , like if it was spicy , mild , tangy and he man looked annoyed when we asked , so we ordered 20 mins later the food was served to us at the table and before we could say anything the guy left , not even “is there anything I can get you ?” Nothing . I asked a guy who was bussing the table since I couldn’t reach the server anywhere if he would get us some hot sauce and he said “yes one moment “ we waited about 12-15 mins for hot sauce I was tired of waiting so I kindly asked the table next to us for their hot sauce and that’s how we got hot Sauce. and we never got asked if we needed anything for the rest of the time we ate . No one came back with hot sauce , no refills on the water and no refills on the coffee the next time we saw our server was for the bill which I took to the front because I was furious and I paid with the host and asked for some to go boxes and he was a very nice young man and quickly helped me with the transaction and we tipped and left immediately, we’ve came here before and no complaints but this place has gone downhill especially when your treated with...

First, let me just say that if you leave a negative review about your experience at this place, the owner himself will reply with a passive aggressive, sarcastic remark. No kidding. He did it to me and to another female customer who left a review (and hers was less harsh.) Instead of addressing the negative experience with professionalism, actual customer service, and a desire to fix things, he chose to respond with negativity. Tells you all you need to know about this establishment. However, let me explain more. The food was bland, our server was dirty (he sneezed into his hands, looked at me like I was in the wrong for seeing he did that, and didn't wash them afterward. We all lost our appetite after that and wanted to get out of there.) He then proceeded to sit at a table with people he knew during his shift, hugging them and all before continuing to serve food to other customers. Then, a random customer walked into the KITCHEN to help himself to complimentary coffee cakes that were on a tray and then helped himself to a cup of coffee. Who knows where his hands have been as well. By the way, these complimentary coffee cakes are the first thing served to customers when they are seated at a table. I'll be sure to tell everyone I know not to support this place. And I'm sure the owner will come after me on this review...

The Egg House is a cozy, classic breakfast spot in Simi Valley that serves hearty, well-prepared meals in a welcoming diner-style atmosphere. On a recent visit, the steak and eggs plate really stood out.

The steak was tender, seasoned just right, and cooked to order. It paired perfectly with two over-easy eggs, with the yolks adding richness to every bite. The breakfast potatoes were another highlight—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tossed with peppers and onions for extra flavor. Thick-cut toast was served on the side, ideal for soaking up the eggs.

Service was friendly and attentive, with coffee and tea refills coming promptly. The interior has a warm, old-school diner charm with red booths, wall art, and a laid-back vibe that makes you feel at home.

Overall, The Egg House delivers exactly what you want from a neighborhood breakfast spot—fresh food, generous portions, and a comfortable atmosphere. The steak and eggs are a solid choice and worth ordering if you’re craving a classic,...

-Best breakfast spot I've been to so far in Simi Valley. Cozy spot with a "granny's kitchen" feel. Clean and inviting with an efficient use of space. -Greeted with a smile a table and some warm coffee cake with a sweet butter glaze as soon as I walked in* (generally there is about a 15 minute wait for a table on most mornings) -Extensive, creative and thoughtful menu...Deciding to indulge, my selections were crabcakes benedict and Elvis French toast (peanutbutter and banana)...but on a normal day I would have enjoyed the "Athlete's Menu" which offers "High protein, low carb...[no] butter, oil or salt...see menu images below) -would definitely recommend as there is something sure to please every palate

So, I just discovered this little gem this morning. And it's so close to home! How have I never eaten here before!? They serve a warm piece of frosted pound cake that goes great with their coffee while you wait for your food. The food was delicious and the staff attentive. The inside is adorable (see photos). However, my one complaint would be that we went at a slower time (there were only a few patrons in the whole restaurant, including us) and several of the tables were dirty, and the hostess was sitting at the front counter on her phone 🙄(Kids these days). But overall a great experience, and I'll certainly go back!
