The owner of the pub spends his time getting drunk off of his own beer supply. Four friends and myself were quietly sitting at a bar, across from another group being extremely loud and rude. We had been good patrons, purchased at least two drinks (and currently drinking them) each, and ordered food. Two more friends came in to sit with us, both nicely dressed good people. When they sat down, the owner came over and said "You aren't welcome here, get out". Upon asking why, he didn't give a reason other than "This is my bar, leave." We all took our things and left because of how rude he was. He went on a drunken power trip and stood behind us as we paid our bills and left. He's lucky we even offered to pay after kicking the most well mannered people in his pub out. He then stood in the parking lot until we all left.
There are many other bars in the area, please do not give this man your service. McLadden's right down the street has better beer, and the staff is extremely nice.
The owner has apparently been commenting on the other members of my group that were there saying they were overly intoxicated. They had zero drinks before showing up, had not visited another bar yet that night, did not cause a scene, did not show any signs of being intoxicated at all. He did not breathalyze them or tell them at the time that the time that he believed them to be intoxicated.
Edit: The owner has responded to all of my friend's post with the same copy/paste description. He has removed anywhere that he wrongfully accused all of my friends for being overly intoxicated (again they came straight from a family dinner). Since this date there have been more incidents of the owner showing his lust for power in treating his guests improperly. He did not say that the bar was closed until after he had already asked us to leave. They were not closed, and were still serving at this time. His need to say that we "displayed lack of respect for anything except [our] own desires" shows he does not understand his lack of respect for his own customers. He will continue to treat his guests this way, and as suggested in other 1 star reviews, "I would check out the McLadden's or Maple Tree, just stay away from...
Read moreWe stopped by on a Sunday later in the afternoon. The server/bartender/cook was awesome. Sadly, the food choices were few, not very good and way overpriced for the quality and quantity. The Sunday menu is scaled way back because they close on Mondays which we respect but what you keep on the menu needs to be at least average. The turkey sandwich was dry and the roll was too. The nachos were tostitos with a little cheese, salsa and sour cream. The bacon order was $9.00 for 5 very thin strips of bacon. It looked like precooked bacon too. Anyway, the place is very cozy and the server was awesome but we left spending $86.00 for a nachos, turkey sandwich, bacon, 2 sodas and 2 white wines. 😟😟
The three stars are because of the atmosphere...
Read moreI went there for the first time. I walk in to see some friends, and the manager, that was under high influence of alcohol, kicked me out telling me "you are not aloud here, you need to leave, you are not welcome here" in a very rude impulsive way, repeating it several times. Is it because I am a foreigner? Is it because I am wearing a Batman hat? There are ways to be a polite person. His way was not. I have never being treated like that in my whole life.
Would not recommend this place, you might not be welcome there by their own owner. Not worth the risk.
Edit: I didn't know it is possible to be highly intoxicated without drinking...
