I loved the food here. This was my first layover in Sioux Falls, SD. My fellow FA and I went to explore the area. Upon walking the amazing entertainment, food, bars/ pubs and shops jus a small walk from our hotel we came across this restaurant that had posters of ramen and sushi. I was all in. The restraunt was very different from what I am used to. Here, you walk in, take a seat, look over the menu, and when you're ready to order, you go up to the counter, order your food items, and pay before receiving it. I personally don't care for the lack of interaction that you would normally get when ordering your food from your table when dining in. With that said, I started my order by ordering two sushi rolls. The cashier/ hostess who greeted us upon walking in informed me that they had a special buy two sushi rolls and get one (less than or equal to in price) for free. So I ordered some 3 piece tomago(egg) sashimi, the zombie roll and tropical roll, first, and then chose the green dragon roll as my free sushi roll selection. All three rolls were delicious and had great flavors made w/ tasty fresh ingredients. My fellow flight attendant ordered a regular roll S5 spicy crab sushi roll. It was also yummy. For our entrees, we both chose seafood ramen soup. Note all the food and drinks ordered were served in to-go containers and paper plates, styrophome cups (no ice) if order water like I did or choice of bottled water like my FA did and plastic flatware. Again, for me personally, I would prefer real dishes, silverware, ordering from the table, and paying after tasting my meal. Other than that, it's a great food, and definitely recommend stopping by and looking over the menu. For those ramen and sushi lovers like myself, you will not be disappointed. Everything stood out on its own, great flavors, fresh ingredients, and fair prices, but definitely would hope to see more of an authentic...

What an excellent concept and great execution. The menu is great with configurable poke bowls, sushi, sashimi, and great rolls. We had a salmon poke bowl, tuna poke bowl, a spicy tuna roll, and edamame. We opted for the sushi meat which was fresh and delicious, although you can get cooked fish or meat. The rice was cooked well and there were tons of vegetables. The spicy tuna roll had a nice spice and taste and it was a good size, not a mini roll that you'll see some places. The edamame was cooked well and firm. While I like a little more salt on my edamame, it was delicious and we finished it all. For a drink we got a cold jasmine green tea that comes from Japan and was very nice. It will definitely be my go to when I come back.

The portions were huge for the poke bowls. Most poke bowls I've had are lots of rice, a small amount of sushi, and limited veggies. These bowls still had a lot of rice but there was an amazing amount of sushi and great veggies. I loved the different toppings you could add and sauces to select from.

They're having you orfer at the front now with covid but they were very friendly, helpful, and brought our food out when it was ready. It seems like they take pride in the food they make.

I highly recommend trying this place for yourself. For the reasonable price they charge and the healthy dishes, I can see this being a regular...

My first-time eating from FANCY BOWL. And my last -- never to return. I ordered online the Hibachi Chicken bowl from FANCY BOWL, on Phillips, downtown Sioux Falls on March 14, 2024 for $12.01. I ordered a small vs the large at $15.95. I picked it up 10 min after placing the order online -- was the highlight of this review. Fresh hot food ready within minutes, amazing. Took the first bite of this "teriyaki" chicken. Eeeck. Took a bite combo of the rice, seaweed salad and of a cucumber and i could not get it out of my mouth fast enough. My tastebuds were met with the most unpleasant flavor....a smelly slimy disgusting sour fish taste. I did my best to move food around with my plastic fork and i made the dish worse in taste. I put the lid back on the heaping amt of untouched food....and placed the entire order into my garbage can. The initial bite of chicken was rubbery in texture. Small and failed miserably on flavor. If the cook was going for dryness, she...

WE'LL BE BACK & Fancy Bowl is definitely worth heading downtown for! So personal! My son was so excited to eat more authentic dishes, and the lady and gentleman running the place were so receptive. The "house made hot sauce" is a MUST, as it is amazing & pairs perfectly with the Ramen & the Noodle dishes. The gentleman who brought out the hot sauce proudly told my son it was house made & hot. 🥰 My son loved the Japanese sodas. Everything was so fresh, so delicious, and the people here made this experience the best!! Everything is so clean here too. If you get take-out, they have reusable microwaveable containers (not the leaky paper ones). Wow! We'll be back every time we're in town!
