Pho Thai (Downtown) — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

Mid February 2025. This is my second visit here in Sioux Falls. The last time I was here for a layover was 10 mthz ago. With my working flight being scheduled later in the afternoon I decided to explore a lil' and browse the local area. Upon my exploration I stumbled upon this Asian fusion restraunt. It was so nice to find a restraunt that served Thai curries and tom yum, asian beef stew, Vietnamese pho, Chinese dishes including wonton soup, and even Japanese sushi, sashimi and maki rolls. Only thing missing is ramen lol oh and I personally like tom kha more than tom yum. Everything I had from the fresh pork and shrimp spring roll, to my maki and chef zombie roll to the wonton soup and all the dipping sauces were delicious. The sushi chef Kim had such a great attitude and presence. I had the pleasure of chatting w/ him briefly as we was taking my order since my waitress wasn't near by to finish taking my order. I rate his service awesome, my waitress wasn't as inviting but at the same time wasn't rude jus' lacked in providing the customer service I have come accustomed to. Luckily Mr. Kim was able to shift my experience for the better. So mahalo (thank you) Sushi Chef Kim for providing such a great first time experience here at this amazing restraunt. Next time I'm in town I want to try the mango chicken and one of the Thai curries. Definitely recommend stopping by if you are a sushi and Asian food lover like me. I always love Pho Thai, but today the experience was so incredible that I had to go above and beyond and leave this review!

From the moment I walked in, I felt completely taken care of. I accidentally ordered the wrong kind of spring roll, and without hesitation, they cheerfully fixed it and brought me the right one at no extra charge. It was such a kind and generous gesture that instantly made me feel valued and appreciated!

What truly blew me away was how seriously they took my gluten sensitivity. They didn’t just accommodate it. They asked thoughtful questions, paid close attention, and took every precaution to make sure I felt safe. They even substituted pad thai noodles into the Beef Mi Xao, a dish I’ve loved for years but haven’t been able to eat since going gluten free. It was absolutely delicious, and it brought me so much joy to enjoy it again!

Honestly, they could have easily seen me as a high-maintenance customer with special requests and changes. But instead, they treated me like I was worth a million bucks! I felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for.

The man at the front greeted me and my daughter with such warmth and excitement! His joy was contagious and set the tone for the entire evening. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, friendly, and attentive from start to finish.

Pho Thai is not just one of my favorite places to eat because of the amazing food. It is the people. It is the heart. It is the way they treat their customers like family. Today reminded me exactly why this place is so special to me!

I cannot believe how good Pho Thai is. The AMAZING food, the professional, efficient, and kind staff, and the general atmosphere even when fully packed! We had a group of 7, everything downtown had a wait of over 40 minutes. We got to Pho Thai which was super busy itself, and were sat within 10 minutes! The staff are kind, and are obviously very dedicated to the presentation of the restaurant. We were served within 30 minutes of sitting, the food was downright AMAZING. I had the mango chicken, which had a beautiful presentation. My husband had the orange chicken, which was extremely tasty. One of our group had pho which came in a huge bowl, one had some sort of pineapple and rice dish, served inside the pineapple! Presentation, and satisfaction was top notch! The food was extremely filling, all 7 of us walked out stuffed with left overs. I know all of us, will be back soon. How efficient you guys were with our party size on a Saturday night, how delightful the food was, the fact that you guys serve so much food so your customers leave full. I am absolutely sold.
