PAVE BAR STEALS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!Please be very careful before deciding to spend your time there. A few months ago I was downtown with a couple of my Work friends, I sat my purse down and forgot it when we were taking a picture, the next day I called around to the surrounding businesses which included paved work friends, I sat my purse down and forgot it when we were taking a picture, the next day I called around to the surrounding businesses which included Oshima sushi, Pave bar, Coffea, the Diner etc...Each business told me that they had not received or seen the purse I described. all of those businesses were truthful except for pave bar, I just recently went on my Facebook messenger and saw a message from a person I didn’t know telling me that they had found my purse on August 23 and they were going to leave it at pave due to it being one of the closest businesses, seeing this message three months later gave me a lot of hope because I thought for sure my $400 coach purse and wallet were for sure nowhere to be found, I called pave the day I saw the message and they told me that that purse had never been turned in, then my mom called five minutes later being a little bit more stern than I was and they admitted to having the purse, and that they found my ID in it and saw that I was a minor, they thought that a minor had got into their bar and they were scared that they were going to get in trouble for it, therefore They did not try to return my purse when the man had turned it in on August 23 (the day i lost it)and they also lied when I called August 24 and said that they didn’t have my purse. after about five different stories they told me that they only keep the lost and found for six months to a year, but that didn’t make sense considering it had only been three months since my purse was turned in. pave the bar had every means of contacting me and getting my purse back but since they thought they would get in trouble for having a minor in there a bar They thought it would be better to lie and say that it was never turned in, then they continued to tell stories like they donated it to Goodwill or salvation army when we all know that a bunch of waitresses and bartenders in their 20s and 30s didn’t donate a $400 purse and wallet. they thought it would be better to lie and say that it was never turned in, then they continued to tell stories like they donated it to Goodwill or salvation army when we all know that a bunch of waitresses and bartenders in their 20s and 30s didn’t donate a $400 purse and wallet. Pave bar is full of dishonest people. They steal and lie and i would never...
Read moreBad business and a Complete disregard for personal property! Beware!!! On August 23rd my 20 year old daughter was on a workplace outing downtown. She misplaced her coach purse (A gift from someone special) which contained her coach wallet and valuables worth close to $1500. She seemed to remember possibly having the purse last at the corner of 10th and Phillips. The next day (August 24th) she called all of the businesses on that corner which included, PAve, The Diner, Coffea, Yoshima, and others. All of them, Including an employee at PAve said that they had not had anyone turn in a purse. This past Sunday (November 17th) my daughter was on Facebook Messenger and found a hidden message dated back to the day she lost her purse. A Good Samaritan found the purse on 10th street and Sent a message that he had left it at Pave to ensure she got it back. She was surprised because she had called Pave back on August 24th and was told they didn’t have it. At this point she became excited and called Pave. She was told that they had just donated all of their lost and found And that they donate items every 6 months. Not believing what they had told her, I called Pave. The woman on the phone Remembered the purse and in a very rude manner told me that “my daughter must have gotten in their establishment with a fake ID because they found her real ID in her purse.” I informed them that she was never in their establishment. Is that why they didn’t try to contact her? When I asked why they wouldn’t have called the police, or tried to find her and return her property, she said that people leave things there all the time. The next day, I called and talked to the manager(Rob) , he was argumentative and informed me that he didn’t see anything wrong with not finding my daughter to return her purse. He also told me that people leave high dollar items there all the time. A friend of ours also got in touch with the General Manager. There was no apology and no offer to make things right. We were told that they donated her new, expensive purse to the Goodwill or Salvation Army. I’m sorry but I find that hard to believe. The man who turned that purse in thought that it was in a safe place. This is very disheartening, shady, and this business cannot be trusted to do the right thing! Very Unfortunate that it has...
Read moreI love Pave.
A pivotal shift for Sioux Falls night life. It is an excellent Bar that I highly recommend you visit if you've never been to Sioux Falls Before.
Pros:
Honestly great Bar Food at great price for a lunch / non weekend Dinner option.
Rooftop Patio.
Options. Don't like Crowds? Stay Downstairs. Wanna Dance? You already know it will play (fairly generic) club music. The environment of the place is Young, fun, and consistently a good time.
Staff. Some of the Staff has been there since it opened. They love being there and are able to handle massive crowds drinks as smoothly as you'd expect on a Friday / Saturday night.
Essentially, it's Pave. You will have a good time when you go. If you don't want to be part of the craziness, go any time of the week before 10pm. There are certain aspects of the Bar I think could be done better. They are not necessarily Cons but my opinion on why I don't go often:
Target Crowd is 21-26 Year Olds. I would have been a Pave religiously if it existed during my party phase. That being said, you're not going there to play Pool/ chill/ relax.
People are generally wasted at Pave since it's usually the last spot people end up at for the night.
There will be a line to get in both the Front and the Back. Don't complain, because it is to control the flow even if the bar isn't at capacity.
Drink Prices. Good Lord I am anything but cheap when I go out, and understand how drinks work at the bar. But you will most likely get doubles because of the long drink times and ordering 4 drinks for your crew will add up very quickly for average strength drinks.
Flow. I think the bar gets crowded because of the layout rather than slow bartenders. Luckily fights/accidents don't happen too much because of it but you will be nut to Butt with strangers to get anywhere so be polite and have fun.
Long review, but I'll always have love for Pave. Please visit it at least once and find out...
