Ever since I moved back to Sioux Falls, I have been wanting to try this place, but never got the chance until my family and I came here last night as we awaited the Parade of Lights (after the diner around the corner told us they weren’t seating anymore). My baby son was hungry for a cheeseburger and fries and Agua Fresh was the only accessible option at the time. I ordered a chicken pesto combo meal at the kiosk (right when you walk in) so we could “skip the line”. It was not until I placed my order at 6:54 pm and walked around the corner before I discovered a painting of Mt. Rushmore portrayed as some brilliant place. As a Lakota, I found the painting rather offensive and immediately began to regret ordering food here. Lo and behold, 30 minutes pass and our order has yet to be called. The parade is about to start and I see groups of ppl who ordered after me getting theirs orders and being on their way. I go to the counter to ask about my order. They said it’s almost done. I waited another 5 minutes and see a couple who came in after me get their chicken pesto orders and leave. I’ve worked many years in food service and tried to be patient, but that really upset me! My son is grabbing at me, crying out of hunger and I become enraged. After a few more minutes pass, I hear one of the workers trying to figure out which order the chicken pesto that just came out of the oven belonged to. I say, “I’ve been waiting for a chicken pesto for 40 minutes so it’s probably mine!” The worker bags it up with chips. I knew that was part of the combo when I ordered it, but come on! Potato chips served as a regular side for greasy sandwiches at a place that is supposed to be “healthy”? The worker doesn’t apologize, but seems apologetic, but I could give a crud at this point. All I gotta say is my experience wasn’t worth it to want to come back again, and it all started with that blasphemous painting! I highly discourage anyone on the health wagon from going here. It’s not very healthy diet-wise, nor good for the psyche. They need to remove that...
Read morewhat the actual heck. i ordered the chicken "pesto" "grilled" sandwich and an acai smoothie. the smoothie was actually good, although i can't even imagine how one would mess that up. however, the sandwich was not grilled, it was lightly warmed. the bread was just that - bread. uncooked. a little bit of brown toasting. the sandwich was literally cold in the middle. and don't get me STARTED on the lack of pesto. someone needs to send out a search party because i don't know where the rest of it was. it should have been drowning in pesto and i could only taste it in maybe two bites. the cheese was completely unmelted. in addition to all of this, one of the only two workers was just sitting on her phone at a table in front of the register and glared at us several times from the second we arrived to when we left. moved at the speed of an apathetic snail after she received our order. and i have worked food service before, i know what it's like to have a long day and be tired etc, but there was literally two people in there when we got there and no one new came before we left. regardless, glaring at customers and trudging around is no way to act ever. i am incredibly disappointed and shocked at the lack of quality present for the whole experience. i would not recommend going here, and i certainly will...
Read moreMy recent visit to Agua Fresh in Sioux Falls was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I've ever had. I'm leaving this one-star review as a warning to others.
I ordered a menu item based on its appealing picture, expecting it to come as depicted. However, when my order arrived, it was clearly missing several toppings shown in the photograph. When I politely brought this to an employee's attention and inquired about the missing items, I was met with an incredibly condescending and rude response. I was told, essentially, that the picture was "just a picture" and that I had received what I specifically asked for, despite having paid extra. The dismissive attitude was truly shocking and unacceptable.
To make matters worse, my mother's order of a sausage and egg croissant was absolutely inedible. The top croissant was so severely burnt that it was impossible to break through, let alone eat. It's baffling how something so clearly ruined could even be served to a customer.
This visit was a complete waste of money and a test of my patience. Between the misleading presentation, shockingly rude staff, and the unacceptable quality of food, Agua Fresh Sioux Falls failed on every...
