If you are on the fence about where to go to eat, and are interested in quality Mexican food, go here. Skip the other Mexican restaurants here in Sioux Falls, they are all trying to play catch-up to Inca's. Their burritos are fabulous, nothing at all to shrug at as you will soon find out if you order one. They are huge, but don't stop there with healthy servings of side orders of (fantastic) beans and rice that are as authentic as it gets and out of this world.
Also, the Margaritas are fantastic, not huge but so delicious. Also highly recommended are the nachos which you can not go wrong with if you order. They are a very unique dish and absolutely crave-worthy - really an Inca's "must try" which leads me to another (which I have not seen at any other Mexican restaurant in town either by the way) the fried ice cream! Yum. Enjoy a hot shell of fried goodness that gives way to a cold, creamy, and refreshing homemade-tasting ice-cream center, all drizzled with an intoxicating honey on top that pulls the whole thing together. Or, you could skip ice cream and get a sopapilla, which is another item also available, also awesome. I've been eating here for years, and never did I feel as full as after eating at Inca's! It was such a unique feeling that I learned to become familiar with and love - the feeling of satisfaction. Also, the staff is always, and has always been, nothing other than cordial, polite, attentive, responsive, professional, and smiling. They are kind and professional. You can tell they care about your experience. Check it out for sure if you haven't, I believe they are the very best Mexican restaurant in town, hand's down and I couldn't...
Read moreYesterday was a sad day - Inca did not live up to its great reputation!! I ordered my favorite Chicken fajita and I always ask to have the veggies cooked to be soft. It came out burnt - chicken and veggies burnt! The kitchen manager walked by and asked if there was something wrong and I said yes and explained. She asked if I wanted it well done and I said No I wanted the veggies cooked soft. She then said okay we will make new chicken and I can pick out the veggies that aren't burnt. I said no. The second dish came out with a ton of chicken and a little veggies that were basically raw which I can not eat. I rejected the second one with the waitress and said I am done. The waitress took and said she would be right back. They then proceeded to ignore me and my husband. Finally the waitress came back and said the third fajita was almost done - I said No - I am done. She said do I want an enchilada? Never had one, don't want one! Just the check please. I left a tip because I thought the waitress was trying -- then she got snotty! That was equally disappointing! I didn't make the mistakes! I try hard to explain what I need - they usually get it right. They know us there. We go there often, but maybe we need to look elsewhere. I am not asking for anything difficult. The owner knows us and says it's not a problem, but he wasn't...
Read moreAlways a 5 star. My #1 favorite place to eat! My kids enjoyed it and even if kids don't have the pallet for Mexican cuisine, they have American food on their menu as well. They do extra special treats and surprises for birthdays and serve these awesome things called the Mexican bulldog- which is a margarita with a Corona sticking upside down in it. Looks amazing, and tastes even better. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but from what I have tried, I have loved each and every dish. The staff is accommodating and very good with customer service. My 10 y.o. was being bratty and thought his burrito would have cheese on inside rather than melted on top. He is a fussy lad. The waitress came around and noticed he had picked the cheese off the top but hadn't eaten anything yet. She offered to get him something else free of charge, but I told her no thank you, I wasn't raising him to be spoiled and he would eat what he had ordered. (And he did) Their attention to detail and natural maternal/paternal instinct with customers is second to none. If you don't try Inca's at least once in your life, you...
