China Express — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

This place was overall an awful experience. The lady who took our order was not friendly from the beginning when we said hello to her. She took our order and gave us a snotty attitude from the minute we walked in the door. My child accidentally spilled her soda, and the lady was over dramatic and refused to serve us our food! We had another CUSTOMER serve the food to us because she took a whole half an hour to clean up a small spill and was crying dramatically about a small spill to other customers! The food was not of great taste of oriental food and they didn't even fully serve our plates as if they took a measuring cup and served us "half a cup" of everything we ordered. Considering we paid well over $50 worth of food, my family and I got served scraps. Only reason for our stop was due to being in town for my daughter having a medical procedure at Sanford Children's Hospital. We are not locals and if we would have known how poor this place is we would have never stopped in and spent a good amount of money on food and service that was terrible. I dont recommend this place, they are disrespectful and can't even do their job right! Their customer service...

My husband and I stopped in around 1:30ish on 9/14/25 and we were the only ones in there. I had not been there in a few years and my husband (in my 20 plus years with him) can't remember ever being in there, but remembers a buffet. We were passing it going down 41st and made a note we would eat there soon, then the thought got stuck in my husbands head, and thats what he wanted for lunch.

Their menu is quick and easy to read if you already know what type of Chinese food you like. The portions are large for the price. Food isn't heavily breaded like other establishments in Sioux Falls. It's made fresh after you order and ready in minutes. My husband doesn't have about food often but he hasn't stopped talking about it all afternoon/evening. Like some other people here I used to come to this place a lot more often many years ago. Today I ordered General Tsos Chicken and rice and the order came with sauce sloshing around in the bag. I got home and about half of the rice was soaked in sauce but almost none on the chicken. I ate through about half of the chicken and noticed it was chewy. I cut a piece in half and it looked okay but I think I might have had some pork mixed in with the chicken. The sauce itself was more like slightly seasoned soy sauce and wasn't really that good. The rice was okay but overall the meal was not worth anywhere near what I paid. This place has gone downhill over the last few years (like a lot of stuff in Sioux Falls overall) and I'm surprised that there are still so many good...
