If I could give LESS than one star, I would. I was in both of these stores today because I called first and asked if they take Vintage toddler and adult clothing. "Yes" they said! I had 3 pr of women's vintage jeans and a ton of super clean baby Calvin Klein, Levi's and Baby Gap clothes and baby gap leather shoes, Keds leather toddler baby shoes etc. I had a 30 year old pair of Levi's toddler jeans , Levis toddler overalls, a toddler Levis jean jacket along with a pair of toddler Carhartt overalls. All in pristine condition and vintage. I also had a perfect 'The Giving Tree' Book and an untouched perfect hard cover of a Harry Potter book. Of all the items, they wanted only the last 5 - and my total for all 5? $10 cash or $12 store credit!!!! I think not!!!!! And I KNOW NOT EVER AGAIN!!! Also, they told me I could not wait in the aisle near the counter even though I told them I had a hard time walking and had knee surgery in 2 weeks. No benches. No where to sit. And not only that- I heard the gal telling the other gal "Lori with the bad knee was just right in the way of everyone" when she didn't realize I was within earshot, plus it which was not true. Kid to Kids and Cheapskate - good luck. - you're gonna need it. They also have the dressing rooms right where everyone walks and the pick up area is not clearly marked. I HATED everything about this store but talking about your customers out loud isnt gonnawin more customers! But then especially paying a total of $10 for a vintage levis toddler jeans jacket and all the other things? Hell to the no! ...

I went in today to sell some of my daughterâs gently used clothes. After receiving a text that my offer was ready, I returned to the store. I stood at the counter for about five minutes without any acknowledgment from the seven staff members working behind itânot even a simple âweâll be right with you.â
When I was finally helped, I was shown the bin of items they chose to buy. I assumed being handed the bin meant I could go through it and make sure I was comfortable selling those items. While reviewing the bin, I noticed that several items still had tags on them, yet they were offering me less than a dollar for each. I politely asked if I could keep a few of those items and only sell the ones I was okay with letting go.
Instead of working with me or simply explaining their policy, the employee was incredibly rude. She told me I wasnât allowed to âmess with the order the bin was in,â even though no one had mentioned that beforehand. Then, rather than allowing me to make a selective sale, she told me to just take my whole bin and leave.
This was only my second time selling here, and it will absolutely be my last. The customer service was unprofessional, unhelpful, and honestly quite rude. Definitely not how I expected...
Read moreFor anyone that does kid consignment I would be very careful of Kid to Kid. Came in today to pick up my items and the girl gave the âwe werenât able to take any itemsâ spiel. I look in my tote and itâs half empty. I immediately said something. They store husband looked around for 5 mins then the store manager comes over from the other side to look at video footage and they are talking to each other and ignoring me. All I could get is that they put my stuff in someone elseâs tote then they cashed out another name similar. I asked why they donât check IDs! âThis is a franchise so we donâtâ eventually they find my tote after 10mins & my money had been converted to in-store credit without my knowledge. The store manager acted like I was the problem. Very cold and rude. Her husband and 1 employee apologized. So moral: if you consign go to Once Upon a Child!! Iâve done it with them for years without any issues. Only reason we chose kid to kid is because we were trick or treating at...
