Silver Moon Bar — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

I'm an avid bar alcoholic so I like to venture into these places and, "hope" to find a solid place.

It's a bar. Somewhere. Someplace, it's a bar sitting there.... Next to the Falls Park. Bartenders are great ( face value ), but they and the establishment are owned by the cops.

I'm from many areas like Atlanta and Yuma AZ, where I've understood a pattern where certain bars sell them selves out for law enforcement participation.

Let me be clear, I'm prior military and have current law enforcement and military family working.

Sioux Falls seems to have an abundance of law enforcement, but many that are dog thirsty and not professionally trained. Which will cause a major rift in community trust.

The kids you send in to try to trap bar goers is terrible. It's entrapment. It's also hilarious, because they're terrible actors. Like..... Don't send in a buzz cut 23 yr old into a biker bar, demand he drink water with a straw and try to convince other bar people you're drunk.

I hardly ever complain anywhere I go, but this trip deserved Zero stars. Rude bartender - no smile or hello. I ordered rum and coke and i told him not spiced rum and he gave me Capt Morgan. He said that was the only rum they had after pouring the drink out. Would have liked a choice of a different drink but he provided zero customer service. This was about 8:20pm on Friday nite. Bacardi was sitting on the shelf. My husband asked if it was full and he said yeah and walked away. Didnt offer to exchange it for the spiced rum. I gave him a five for the $4.50 drink and he kept change. Most horrible...

We are traveling from the east coast to the west coast and Sioux Falls was on our list of stops. A little stressed from the drive, we stopped in for a beer before proceeding tp do touristy things. The bartender, John, was so helpful, polite and insiteful. He gave us plenty of tips and options on what we could do next, even told us where a safe place to stop and stay the night would be. These stars are specifically for him, and his kindness....
