Something isn’t quite right… The food is excellent. It’s the payment. I had a gift card that I’ve attempted to use 4 times. The first time it worked. The 2nd time their gift cards weren’t being accepted because of a software and internet issue (fine this happens I get it). On the 3rd occasion I was told that gift cards just weren’t being accepted with no explanation. On the 4th occasion, I checked the balance of the card through the gift card company that el limon uses. It indicated the card had approximately $53.00 on it. I also made sure that gift cards were being accepted prior to placing my order, which they were. When I arrived the gift card was run through the machine and it indicated an amount being owed of 0$. Then for some reason the card was run again and the cashier told me the balance was empty…which would make sense if the card had already been run and used up. At this point, I went to check my balance on my phone to show her that i in fact did have a balance of 53$ and magically my card was no longer active and the balance could not be verified because the card was no longer active. Love their food, can’t help but feel like I was taken advantage of multiple times. Very...
Read moreWe've visited multiple El Limon locations and I can tell you multiple issues this place has despite them only being open for 2 years.
While we asked for Diet coke, our waitress came with diet coke plastic bottles and charged us as Mexican coke. That was deceitful. She made it seem like the restaurant didn't have fountain drinks.
When we left the restaurant they had a fountain drink with Pepsi products but she had not indicated any of this. It's deceitful!!!!
We ordered tamales and they were the driest most dough filled tamales I've eaten. Someone obviously doesn't know how to make tamales but other locations don't make it this way. There was hardly any meat either.
We ordered the Alhambre with 2 meats. This comes with bacon, sauce and cheese. It hardly had cheese, it had 3 small pieces of bacon and no sauce on top. Taste was great but ingredients were delinquent.
My three girls ordered supreme tacos. For an additional $1.00 for 2 tacos, they skimped on all toppings.
Beware of this. I know times are hard for everyone but this is just unacceptable.
We could have said something but our waitress seemed to not know much when we...
Read moreThis visit I chose to sit outdoors in the evening. The restaurant is small peaceful, the kitchen was very clean and orderly and for a small kitchen that's pretty good. A small yet spacious room for seating indoors, as well as a covered wraparound deck that adds a very nice comfortable place for couples to sit for dinner and conversation. plenty of parking, a large clean unisex bathroom, fast and polite service, a very moderately priced menu and the food is delicious! On Friday's the margaritas are complementary and feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverage because this is a BYOB restaurant. A very enjoyable night out dining that is very friendly on your wallet. They are only open just less than a year and I have to say everything was fantastic. definitely worth a stop for some nice...
