Just wanted to take the opportunity to let Dr. Mak and his staff know how grateful we are to them for supporting our community through the COVID-19 pandemic. They’re working tirelessly to ensure we have access to essential health items that are near impossible to obtain right now. From hand sanitizer and gloves to soap and thermometers, they’re providing families some peace of mind in a time of chaos and uncertainty.

No matter how busy the pharmacy gets, Dr Mak and his staff always stop and take the time to greet customers. They’re friendly, helpful, kind and comforting. They have signs in the pharmacy APOLOGIZING FOR HAVING TO RAISE PRICES SLIGHTLY during a time of extreme shortage, for gods sake. They’re keeping prices reasonable when so many others are price-gouging to take advantage of desperate people. If you haven’t seen the news stories done in recent days, please do so. That tells you all you need to know about how they’re supporting the elderly, sick and low-income members of the community.

We utilize the pharmacy exclusively for all prescriptions, Covid testing, vaccinations, etc. Knowing my husband is medically fragile, Dr. Mak called us as soon as the first vaccine shipment was received, at nearly 10pm on a Sunday night, to be one of the first to get our vaccines at a time when it was extremely difficult to get an appointment. He did the same when the booster dose was available. In turn, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering at the mass vaccination clinics where thousands of patients received their vaccines. And still, almost two years into the pandemic, the staff is regularly working until midnight to keep up with the demand for testing.

Why patronize a big impersonal corporate pharmacy whose profits line the pockets of the shareholders when you can give your business to a small, family owned pharmacy that’s directly giving back to the community in a tangible and meaningful way? The world needs more people like this, and there are not enough words to express my gratitude to...

Sadly, my place of employed was misled by this pharmacy and pharmacist, Dr. Mak. We were promised daily delivery and prompt service, which also did not happen. Our staff frequently had to drive to the location to pick up medications with many excuses given as to why this was happening. When we made a formal business decision to switch and notified Dr. Mak, he filled every prescription he could without being asked to when he was asked to transfer the prescriptions to the other pharmacy. He also misled the new pharmacy saying there were little to no refills, but filled everything possible on patient profiles. This was not requested. Despite promising to transfer the remaining medications to the new pharmacy by last night at latest, it still has not been done despite being time sensitive. Dr. Mak is not transparent and I do not recommend use of this pharmacy. He frequently bashed cvs and other pharmacies (understandable, my preference is independent pharmacies as well), but it seemed he often took on more than he could handle and made excuses when things could not be delivered as promised and he could not honor commitments or be on time for commitments he made. I’m deeply disappointed, and do not want others to experience this hardship...

This is the best pharmacy, a little family owned place. They dont rip you off if something isnt covered they will work to help you out. They're very responsive to texts and they actually answer the phone unlike big chains. Its a bit farther drive for me so I group my pick ups when possible, which they offer but the tech that syncs orders is sometimes glitchy. Worth it though because what you gain from working with the small company compared to cvs or Walgreens is employees that care very much and will go the extra mile to help your family. Theyre also very proactive in planning their orders once you become a regular. For example cvs did not care if I ordered the same medication forever. They did not carry any extra since it wasnt commonly ordered and would always give me a bottle with 3 in it saying come back in a few days we need to order more. Skippack anticipates your needs once they know your family and when you communicate something they actually note it in their system and will follow through each month.
