I brought my sons iPhone in for a screen repair and they put in a new screen which they later told me was a bad part and could be fixed under warranty. After following up with them not one, not two but three times in what would have been over the course of three weeks I was told they could no longer fix the phone and I would have to pay. They gave us a bad part, told us it was a bad part and then waited for it to break enough that they wouldnāt have the cover it. It was inspected each time we visited. I am beyond frustrated. Buyer beware.
ETA The customer did not break the LCD. It did not work correctly from the time it was replaced. The phone makes calls on its own, the keyboard does not respond, the phone gets error messages that it does not have an Apple part, it locks the user out and it started bleeding again. Three weeks is not reasonable to get a replacement. Each time we visited we very patiently said no problem when the part was still not available. Bottom line, they said it was a bad part and they would fix it and after three weeks and over $300 the phone is in worse shape than when we started. To be offered a āmaybeā discount to replace a bad part that you installed and admitted was a bad part is insulting and unprofessional. Your clients should be aware that you reserve the right to reverse your decision on what will be covered by the warranty. I think any customer in my position would be frustrated by this timeline of events and the fact that my phone is in worse shape than when I handed it over in the first place, as well as the fact that we were told it would be covered initially.
Also I see you are trying to discredit my review by suggesting I was a hysterical customer. While I did argue that you already told me it was a bad part and you would fix it, when you told me you didnāt like my tone and asked me to leave I did. The exchange lasted approximately one minute. There was no need to involve law enforcement as we both know. Iām sorry if you donāt like my review. I sincerely wish I was giving a better review but the fact is I got a bad part, poor customer service and when given the opportunity to make it right you chose...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSkippack iPhone Repair is a very good vendor for iPhone and iPad repairs. I've used them more than a few times in the past, and they've always done a great job for me. More recently, I wasn't able to drop off my daughter's phone to have a cracked screen replaced, so I took it to another iPhone repair store in Lansdale. That ended up being a mistake. Within 3 days of the Lansdale vendor replacing the iPhone screen, one short drop of the phone from my hands onto the kitchen countertop caused the new screen to pop out of the iPhone causing to crack. When I went back to the Lansdale vendor about what occurred, I found out that they do NOT reseal the phones with new adhesives when replacing the screen, and they would not replace the screen under their warranty. They stated they "the existing adhesive will hold the screen on along with the 2 screws at the base of the phone". When you do the research, they are not installing new screens properly.
When I took the iPhone to Skippack iPhone Repair and before I could say anything about my situation, Rob looked at the phone and said the screen installed was a cheap screen and no adhesive was reapplied when that screen was installed, which would cause the screen to be able to pop out. Rob stated they always install new adhesive when replacing the screens and was able to complete the repair within a couple of hours. This vendor knows what they are doing, and I've never had an issue after they've completed a...

A week later I dropped the phone from my pocket to carpeted ground. Screen cracked from the side to the bottom. I called spoke with a gentleman I tell him what happened he says we will take care of that no problem but right now I don't have any screens but we will have them later in the week. He said I'm going to let my manager know on Monday or Tuesday. And I'll give you a call and let you know when it's coming in. I said oh cool that sounds great. I said how much is going to cost and he said it's under warranty. No problem we will take care of it. A couple days for by and I emailed them asking if there was an update. A couple hours later I get a call. The guy says well we would never say it's under warranty. What I can do for you is take $25 off the total. And there is no way the guy I talked to before would have said that. I told him I will have to leave a review if that's how he handles this. He tried to explain how from a business standpoint he couldn't. I said the other guy shouldn't have told me it was under warranty. He hung up on me
Now I didn't expect it to be covered under warranty originally but when he told me it was I was ecstatic.
I feel they are selling sub par aftermarket screens and...
