After standing in line for 20 minute (not a problem at all) and stand in front of the cashier for 10 additional minutes (also not a problem she was very sweet) because the oily hair care product made the sticker price label fall off the bottle the manager had an associate look for a product on her phone to check the price. The associate indicated that she could not find it on their website but did see a price on a unrelated site.
I expressed to the Manager that the sticker indicated that the price was $3.99 and that I would take additional time and go retrace my steps to find the sticker. She then said to me, “Well, you know you don’t have to purchase it.” This is definitely a moment of staying the obvious and was not a necessary statement after I waited patiently and respectfully.
I did in fact find the sticker (the associate that attempted to do a price check happen to be there when I found it and helped pull the price up).
Ultimately, the only thing that garners me rating you all a 2 is how a manager chose to respond. I had absolutely no reason to lie about the price of the produce. Nevertheless, please be a bit more professional when you respond to others in that manner.
Thank you to the cashier and price check associate for being professional and apologetic. You all deserve a 5 for your...
Read moreI recently went to this location to buy a dress shirt and pants for my brother. I'm about to be married and he needed something to wear. We were already in the check out line when he remembered he didn't have a good belt to wear, so I went and got about 4 belts to see which he would like best. We chose a belt and rather than leave the belts in the line area I decided to hand them to the cashier. I've worked in customer service and know it's better to hand unwanted items to the cashier rather than leave them in the line area for them to be picked up by another associate. Then the cashier next to us then told the customer he was attending to speak up and tell his manager, our cashier, what she had said. She said they should make an announcement that people should make up their minds before reaching the register. Her cashier loudly agreed with her. He even said he wished he could tell customers that. This was very passive aggressive in my opinion and rude for only having handed the cashier 3 belts we did not want. If he had any comments he should have saved them for after we had left....
Read moreNice merch selection but checkout wait time at this location in particular is absurdly long. Waited for 20 minutes today as there were only two ppl checking out customers though there were a total of five tjx employees behind the counter there. Finally get to the register and the cashier tells me the tjx reward certificate I was attempting to use had been partially redeemed. Yet, it had not, I received it two days prior. We went back and forth for a while and she essentially told me I had to solve the problem with tjx credit card. I needed to get to work because by this time, I'd spent a crazy thirty minutes trying to make a purchase. I then call tjx cc and they tell me no, the cashier was incorrect and actually inadvertently redeemed part of the reward herself. So I GO BACK TO THE STORE after work where the store manger makes the purchase with no problem. What a gargantuan waste of time and energy. No apology from tjx reps for the epic inconvenience due to the cashier's lack of training/understanding though. 🙄 This experience has effectively curbed my tjx habit...
