IFirst, I was sat a dirty table and treated as if I was the problem when I asked for it to be wiped off. The server walked away, returning a few minutes later to set appetizer plates and drinks at the table. I had to ask a second time to have the table cleaned and my entire party was left holding drinks and plates in hand until the server finally returned to clean it. We proceeded with ordering an appetizer asking for a few minutes to look at the menu. When the server returned I placed an order for a Beef Feast and 1lb of pulled pork. After waiting a few minutes I was approached by a manager and was told I ordered from the to go menu and I would have to take my food and leave. The server returned afterwards with two receipts, one for the food purchase and another for the drink purchase. They also took it upon themselves to cancel my appetizer order while my party waited several minutes for the food order. No one returned to check on us while we sat there with empty cups. It was as if I immediately became a second rate customer. When the food was finally ready, the manager returned with everything packaged in a brown paper bag that was stapled closed. She then said she has to remind us, you can’t eat here. You have to take your food and eat it elsewhere. When I arrived home I discovered my order was partially wrong. I received the flat, however I ordered the point. The pork was all bark, as if someone opened the roast, removing the inside, then packaging the leftovers for to go orders. I don’t think I would ever return to a Jim and Nicks location.

Walked in and was told it was going to be a 30+ minute wait. Was seating within 5 minutes Our server was Lincoln, a very friendly upbeat energetic person that enjoyed his job. He spoke about their cheesy bread which took a while to get there, 10 minutes after dinner arrived. But Lincoln was having to cover several tables since they did not have a lot of servers and there were only 2 workings that night and which is why there should be a wait for a table, there are only so many tables 2 people can take care of. The food was excellent, we spoke to the Manager and filled out the survey on the receipt about what we liked. But it seems to me, the day has come that this restaurant needs to pay all of its employees more than a minimum hourly wage and then pool all the tips together for all the employees that worked during those hours. When the chef or bartender screws up, it can be taken out on the waiter or waitress. But the chef and bartender are getting a full hourly rate whereas the waiter and waitress are making much less than minimum wage, and not getting vacation or sick time. People will work for an honest day's pay, but if the company is not willing to pay, we need to wait longer for a table and other services. I hope the 911 operators don't work the same as waiters and waitresses need to do, esspessily here. If so, order your coffin now because you have a great chance of dying, Especially if they need to rely on tips to make ends meet.

My pic sums it up... this is hands down the BEST BBQ restaurant that I've had for a very long time. I was in town for a month and ate here six times. Brisket was incredible 3 times and the other 3 it was very good. Macaroni and cheese was super consistent.... everytime I went it was the same tasted like God cooked it for me no joke and the greens were good but not the best I ever had... mind you that collards are very hard for restaurants to get right for everyone with so many ways to cook them.... but they were good nevertheless. I was sad when I had to leave knowing that we do not have Jim and Nick's in Indiana. The service was really good also.... 5 of the 6 times I went it was spot on with the one time my waitress not making rounds to the table... only twice and that was once for the bill. Seems to me that every restaurant is selling t-shirts... I did happen to buy one or it was NOT a cheap feeling shirt or fit well it felt super soft and comfortable while wearing it so it was a very good buy. I love this place. I also cook BBQ here in Indiana and Jim and Nick's is a stellar place to eat and the food items on the menu are a good portion to price ratio. If you've read this far I will say I am not an affiliate I was just amazed by the quality and taste of the food and will definitely visit if I get another chance. I wonder what Gordon Ramsey would say about this place?

I work for a third-party delivery company, meaning we pick up other people’s food and bring it to their homes. Every restaurant has different ways as to how they want you to pick up the food, and even each city can have a different way that they want us to pick up food, even if it’s the same restaurant. We are not privy to that information prior to arriving at the restaurant unless we have been to that one several times. As I approached Jim n’ Nicks, I saw that they had a drive-through, a lot of restaurants have you pick up through the drive-through so I decided to try that first, I did not have a problem picking it up any way they wanted but again, we are not privy to the way that they do things before arriving at that restaurant, and I had never done a delivery from the restaurant before. The girl at the drive-through told me to park in the curbside pick up spot and someone would bring it out to me, so that is what I did. I then called the number on the sign and told them I was there to pick up for the company I work for and the customer’s name. The lady on the phone was immediately rude for absolutely no reason, I had immediately said that I would come inside to pick up the food, but I was just letting her know that the girl at the window told me to park there, I thought maybe she was new and did not know, so maybe that lady could let that girl know. I was just trying to be helpful and I was perfectly pleasant. There was absolutely no reason for her to be rude to me. Not to mention she told me to go to the bar for the food, which I then did and then the girl at the bar looked at me like I was an idiot because the food was not at the bar, it was on a shelf in the dining area. I have never written a review before but this warranted one. There was absolutely no reason for them to treat me that way I’m just trying to do my job like...

I’m only giving 1 star because I can’t give zero! I normally frequent the one in Murfreesboro, however, my wife and daughter recently went to the Smyrna location and wanted to go back. My daughter high school graduation was today and we had family in from out of town. Since they arrived my wife and I were bragging about Jim N Nicks. We made reservations for 8 pm and arrived about 745. The 1 positive was our waiter Jeremy, he was really nice. To start they were out of potatoe salad, bbq chips and collard greens. No problem, we ordered our food, 10 different orders and then moments later, we were told, no baby back ribs Ok, then moments later, no brown gravy and then no smoked sausage links. Then after about an hour, we received our food. All of the food was cold! One would think after waiting an hour, at least the food would be hot. No and to top it off the staff started getting upset because we weren’t satisfied with our service. The manager, I suppose, came to our table and in doing so bumped my chair without saying excuse me or anything ( it was recorded and yes y’all can look at your own tapes) and very rudely said “What you don’t want”? As long as I walk God’s green Earth, will I ever spend a dime of my hard earned money at another Jim N Nicks restaurant without some form of apology! We had family travel over 600 miles only to be treated like we were in a prison food line! I’m so damn embarrassed right now, you guys really ruined a very special occasion...
