What a pleasant surprise this place was! We have a tradition of getting a treat after a rough doctors appointment, so we planned to get ice cream after dinner. We were going to go to our usual spot but unfortunately they were closed pretty early and my options were limited, and so was my budget...

Then, like a beacon of hope and a ray of sunshine, this place appeared amongst my search for ice cream! I had been to this spot back when it was the dairy sweet years ago. Though they were good and all, whew. Marmy's is really good stuff! 😋

We got the "nachos"; It's round waffle cone chips, as in potato chip sized pieces of flat waffle cone. You get ice cream of your choice with toppings if you want. We had the cotton candy and peanut butter cup ice cream I think it was, and ugh!!! SO good!

It was honestly up there with Cold Stone for me! Presentation was fabulous, the shop is adorable, the staff were all very friendly even though it was a half hour till closing time. And my absolute favorite part is the prices were all very reasonable in this day and age.

If your looking to get a quick dessert this is not the place. It took them 40min to do two scoops of ice cream into a cup. Also if you have allergies this is not the place for you. The whole time of me waiting I did not once see any of the staff change there gloves to the point where one of the guys gloves look so dirty you could see a sheen of sticky and melted ice cream all over his gloves. They also release the ice cream from the scoops with their thumbs without cleaning their hands for the next order. There topping bar was in CHAOS lids were off and toppings were all over there station my concern the whole time was all of the cross contamination that was happening. It was a very confusing menu and line system. The cashier was very unwelcoming. She gave judgement and attitude for not knowing how the process worked or what flavors they had. On top of that we had thought it was similar to woodside farm creamery where the ice cream is house made however here it is just Hersey brand ice cream nothing special. With my first visit to Marmy’s being on the night of their grand opening I was beyond impressed. The line was stretched all the way down the sidewalk of RT.13. Although the line was long I noticed that it was moving pretty fast especially with the amount of people per party ahead of us. I was able to decide what I wanted by accessing the menu through their easy to navigate website before getting to the window. While ordering I was greeted with a smile and was pleased to see that they accepted Apple Pay. I ordered a cherry gelati and my boyfriend ordered the brownie stacker. Both very good and the ice cream was so creamy! Exactly what you’re looking for to cap off a hot summer day. While speaking with the lady behind the counter as they were making my order she told me that they were this busy all day!

Although the town was at a loss the day Dairy Sweet closed their doors, Marmy’s is off to a great start at creating new traditions. I now live in Dover but will continue to make the drive to Marmy’s for a 10/10 experience. Great job and congratulations on a great...
