Please note that this review is for my last visit only. I have been eating at Del Taco since 1983 when I was a college student in S Cal. The food is better than the competition, and is priced better. Until my last visit, I had never had any problem at Del Taco that wasn't resolved quickly.
I ordered on the app on Friday 5/16. I tried to redeem points for a free mini cheddar quesadilla. The app threw an error about not having the necessary items in my cart. However, the quesadilla appeared in my order summary. See attached screen shot.
I arrived at the store at about 10:15 AM. The store is supposed to open at 10. The front door was still locked. I walked around to the drive-thru window and received my order, which did not include the free quesadilla.
I explained to the manager the problem I had with the app. I showed him my phone and asked him to please include my quesadilla.
I had similar problems with the app before, and this manager had always made it right. However, this time he was rather short with me, and refused to help. He said I had to use the app. I again showed him my phone with the attached screen shot, and said "This is the app." He said that I needed to do something in the app to redeem the reward. I patiently explained that I had attempted to do so, and was not successful. Could he please show me? He replied that he does not know how.
The store was not busy. I was the only customer on the premises.
First of all, corporate needs to fix their app.
Secondly, this manager needs to be read the riot act and be given training in using the app.
Meanwhile, I will be visiting the Lawrenceville franchise instead. Hopefully the problems at Snellville will be rectified and at some point I can enjoy eating...
Read moreListen, I love Del Taco probably 13x your average human. We went to Del Taco last night, expecting a good experience. Snellville Del Taco is extremely inconsistent at all times but that’s okay because I know fast food isn’t always going to be the most efficient. We waited in line in the Drive Thru and placed our order. The lady taking our order consistently just stopped talking/listening while we were placing our order. That’s okay. We understand. We pull up to the window and the lady says that she gave our food to the people who were in front of us. Okay... That’s fine. She says something that sounds a lot like “pull up” so we do. After 10 minutes another car tells us that she has our food at the window. The line is now wrapped around the building. I get out of the car and knock on the door since we have already paid and our food should just be sitting in a sack waiting for us. The man in the building won’t come to the door. Just points at the drive thru. I get back in the car and call them. I very nicely inform them that we were just at the window and he tells us that we have to wait in this giant line again to pick up the food we already paid for. We wait for 30 minutes and finally get our food. The tacos were soggy which means they didnt sell the food we ordered. So genuinely, why couldn’t they just come hand it to me? I work in the food industry and even as we were picking up our food, they were extremely agitated with us like we had done something overtly incorrect. The rudest thing ever. I refrained from even saying anything backwards because it wasn’t even worth it. I’ll never come back here for as long as I can prevent it. Save your time. They...
Read moreI visited this location on 6/24/2022 and received the worst customer service. When I pulled up to the call box, the attendant said “Go ahead with your order.” There was no greeting whatsoever welcoming me to the establishment. When I pulled around to the window to pay, the young girl opened the window and held her hand out for my card. I looked at her and said “Can I have a total please before you swipe my card?” She then proceeds to tell me the total with an attitude and when she handed my food, she said absolutely nothing. I ordered tacos during this visit. I ran into a store in the plaza and then returned again to DelTaco’s drive-thru to order a strawberry Sprite. I received the same response at the call box when placing the order and the same exact service at the pickup window. After I was given my Sprite, I said to the young girl, “You should learn to greet your customers the proper way. Saying “Go ahead with your order” isn’t very welcoming.” She then slammed the window shut and I drove off. My taco order was also made incorrectly. They gave me the soft shell tacos instead of hard and no secret sauce on the tacos when I specified I wanted it. The workers here need to learn customer service. Very bad look for Del Taco. I should’ve stuck with my usual location in...
