TL;DR: This location used to be awesome...
This Taco Bell has really gone down hill. Some of the things that this location does now would not have happened under the old manager (Edina). First off, the open sign is like never on anymore. This location closes about 1-2 hours earlier than it used to. The lobby being open is hit or miss.
There needs to be consistency with this location! Open at the same time every day, TURN YOUR 'OPEN' sign on, open your lobby up and keep it consistent, when someone asks for a chalupa make sure it's fresh or at least hot! When someone has a large order you should not make excuses to avoid that order. They used to make five taco 12 packs on the fly and now they say they can't do that anymore (I understand why to a point) but this is a business.
You may think I'm being harsh but this is exactly how Edina and Deanna used to the run the store. They CARED. They ran that store like it should be run, they were the best Taco Bell at one time, in competition with Broadway and Lake Stevens. How do I know? I used to work at this location (7 years ago).
Corporate needs to take a look into why this location has gone downhill the way it has. This store used to be awesome. I don't want to blame the current manager because it's been like this for a couple years. The current manager is new and I understand he's probably learning the ropes but still, this store needs to get some serious attention from higher ups or everyone is going to start going to other locations...or other restaurants all together. There's six other fast food places on Ave D. Please start running this store the way it used to.
Other than that, the food is still good here I just think you need to...
Read moreThis Taco Bell has had big issues over the years with consistency in customer service and product stocking. This location is notorious for taping pieces of paper to the drive-thru microphone with a list of things they don't have like lettuce and chicken 🤷🏽🫣 it's been awhile since I've seen that but thought I would throw it in the review. I stopped here and went indoors for lunch today. Taco Bell had two cars in the Drive-Thru, no customers in the lobby, four employees working behind the counter with a fifth employee emptying garbages and tending to the lobby. First thing about today's visit was how icy cold the lobby was. It is uncomfortably cold.... Not quite sure of the technique there, freeze your customers and employees to death? I thought the point of a restaurant was to have customers feel warm, welcomed and even stay awhile to spend more money 🤷🏽 Another thing that could be addressed without corporate intervention is that if there is an appropriate amount of staff like there was today why not physically take the order if the customer prefers it? Why make every customer order from only one kiosk in your store? My burrito was hot and madewell but I got shorted on my $4 fries, they were only half full. Do I need to review the pricing, that its absolutely ridiculously insane for what I remember cost 30% of what they're asking for food not even 10 years ago? 😭 None of the employees made any attempt to smile, greet me or any of that good customer service stuff, it seemed there was massive gossip going on back there that I could overhear during my meal. Like any Taco Bell these days, it's a hit or...
Read moreI have visited here many times, expecting results to be different. But more often than not, I leave without the items I ordered, incorrect/missing ingredients and having to deal with incompetent workers. Seems like there’s high turnover here.
Today was no different.
I picked up my online order at the drive-thru. My burrito had no sour cream and I did not get my sauce for the nuggets.
My chips were dumped all over the bag when handed to me in the drive through. I was checking if all items were there and I pulled out the taco, and it was wrapped very poorly and cheese spilled out everywhere. I also mentioned the sauce being missing (which was selected as an option with the nuggets) and they gave me taco sauce, not the dip.
I tried to hand back the bag but they said they couldnt take it back. I said well the food is all over me and my car now. The response I got was, “Well, theres a bunch of 16 year old boys back there.” I said I don’t think that’s an excuse and they should be taught to do the job correctly.
The manager popped up (quite abruptly) and said, “WHAT WAS THAT?!” I explained what was going on and she offered to wrap the food again. I said, “Well, I thought you weren’t allowed to take it back?” She said she would do it and I got the food back and left.
The food and ingredients usually always taste fresh and hot though....
