First of all, I wish I could give this restaurant higher marks. We used to eat here frequently, at least twice a month. Loved the servers, the food was quite good and it was consistent. Wouldn't have changed a thing. But they were sold to new owners a couple of months ago and they are much changed. The food is not as good (the fresh rolls are not tightly wrapped and they fall apart. The curries are runny, big chunks of bell pepper and potato that isn't fully cooked. The pho is average.) They have dropped some favorites from the menu because "they take too long to make." (what?) And the service is spotty. No choice offered regarding how spicey we wanted our food. Dishes left on the table to be cleared for 20 minutes, no check brought or offer of dessert. Finally we just went to the front desk to ask for a check. In all honesty, this should be a 2-star review, but I can't quite bring myself to say it because I am saddened to see a good local restaurant fall so...
Read moreI've eaten here so many times and most if the time I eat the pho. Which is decent. Good enough that I don't drive to monroe every time I want a bowl. The reason I'm writing a review today, as I finish my vegetable stir fry with rice, is that despite the average quality of food, they still have the gall to bring my order out with half the rice I actually need to finish my meal. So I ask for more and they charge me 2 more dollars. In an age of money grabs, this didn't surprise me. But now I spend 16 dollars, 18 if I was inclined to tip, on food I could have made myself for 2 weeks at the same price at home. So I will reinforce the ideal, when I want to go out to eat, I won't settle for this average restaurant. I won't even come in for pho. What am I supporting? It is definitely not high quality food or dining experience. Convenience is all it offers. I'm...
Read moreThe combination pho was disappointing — way too many noodles and barely any protein. I got one meatball, a few thin slices of beef, and one tiny piece of tripe. On top of that, the noodles were overcooked and unappetizing, so I ended up taking most of them out.
The spring rolls weren’t much better. They were almost entirely rice noodles with just a single slice of lettuce and the smallest shrimp I’ve ever seen.
On top of the food, the service wasn’t great either. The lady serving us was not friendly and even gave us attitude, acting in disbelief when my sister asked for a simple request.
The only highlights were the pork egg rolls and the Thai tea, which were actually pretty good. Unfortunately, everything else really...
