Niko Teriyaki — Restaurant in Snohomish

For years we have enjoyed the food from Niko Teriyaki in Snohomish, it appears that recently it changed owners and sadly so did the food, it changed for the worse. We have tried it twice just to be sure we didn’t catch them on a bad day, but sadly it was terrible both times. What they call fried rice is simply a mess, no freshness, no flavor. It all clings together in a brown bland pile. Their Orange chicken is apparently made from the chicken that didn’t sale several days before, it’s dry and tough, there’s was zero orange sauce on the dry chicken that should have been fresh and crispy with that wonderful orange sauce poured over it, but no, none of that was found here. If there was a taste I would say it all tasted the same and that taste was bland. We loved old Niko’s, I hope the new owners can find their way out of this problem, we won’t be going back...

I have been a customer of theirs for almost a decade. My friends and family getting take-out orders from them at least once every two weeks. I have always gotten excellent food and service from them. Every meal has always been high quality and fresh. I get greeted with a smile and a bow every time I walk through the door. I work very long hours and they have stayed open late to serve me when I get off of work. I couldn't be more pleased with their service and their food. A very sweet couple operate this restaurant, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. My wife and daughter always get excited when they hear I'm taking food home from here. The ramen is drool-worthy and totally authentic Japanese cuisine, made with love and attention down to the last drop of flavorful broth. The owners were so kind to keep the door open past closing time for my last-minute pick-up order. I knew from our conversation that they deeply cared about the presentation of and my full enjoyment of the food; their culinary acumen is fine-tuned and greatly appreciated.
