We were starving after a 30 mile bike ride on the Centennial trail. Thankfully, I found this restaurant just 3 minutes away from the trail head. We ordered a Burrito tapatío and our waiter (forgot to ask his name) recommended the chiles rellenos, so we ordered 2 and a side of Mexican rice.

It was nice to sit outside, the area is spacious in and also out. We got complimentary chips and salsa, pretty good and then our food.

The burrito was enormous, baby size, no joke. And the chiles were just regular size. We both loved the Chile rellenos the most! So good, especially paired with the rice!

After that we decided to check the dessert. We wanted churros. We were told they were filled with nutella or jam so we decided to pass, we wanted the simple cinnamon churro.

Our waiter left to get our check, or so we thought, it was taking a while so I got up to pay but oh surprise!! He came up with a beautiful plate of freshly made churros!!

That's Top-notch service !

Thank...

The food was good, but unlike others, we had very poor service. Our waitress came by to get our drink order when she delivered the chips and salsa and then never brought our drinks out. When she came to get our oder we asked her about our drinks and she brought them out after that. My daughters child menu burrito came out about 10 minutes before the rest of the food, at which time I had to ask for silverware since we never got them. Mine and my wife's enchilada and chimichanga plates were no joke 300 degrees, my wife and I both burned our hands on it, would have been nice of our waitress to let us know, but we were both thankful the kids plates weren't like that. Halfway during the meal, I had to get up and find someone to get refills.

With all that being said, the food was excellent, I'm sure we just got an off night or a waitress who was just having a bad day. Not sure if I could recommend it or even go back to be honest. Preferred El Paraiso...

If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered tonight for delivery. When it arrived, they shoved everything (meals for 4 people an appetizer, chips everything) in one bag. It looked as if they had pushed on the top to make it all fit in one. The trays collapsed and food exploded everywhere in the bag. When we called, the manager was extremely rude, never apologized and tried to hang up on me several times. I asked if they would fix the order and he told me to re order and I can come pick it up. My husband called back and the manager of course was nice to him and very apologetic but still told him the same thing. We’d have to order and come pick it up. He then said he would email us a credit but refused to take my husbands email. While my husband was trying to give him an email the manager kept cutting him off also trying to hang up. We try to support small businesses especially now during covid but I will never order from this...

El Tapatio is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Snohomish. They have an extensive menu with classics and some special dishes. The depth of flavor stands out in the food here. I enjoyed the enchiladas de jaiba: flour tortillas filled and rolled with dungeness crabmeat, celery, onions, and spices, topped with a tangy tomatillo sauce. Delicious! Others had the chicken quesadillas and street tacos with carne asada. The tortilla chips were served with a mild salsa. The housemade green and red sauces enhanced the flavor of the dishes and added heat. My friends had palomas, margaritas, and berry mojitos; I had a michelada. The staff were friendly and attentive. You can't go wrong with El Tapatio! PS If you found this review helpful, would you please "heart" it? Thank you!
