Snoqualmie Market — A Store Without Humanity
In a world where technology advances every day, human values seem to diminish just as quickly. This morning, I stood at the door of Snoqualmie Market. It was 8:00 AM. Nature called — an urge that knows neither age, nor time, nor place. But even this most basic human need was met with indifference and cold refusal.
The staff at the market denied me access to their restroom. Though restrooms were clearly present, they were “not open until 10 AM.” That was their only explanation. Not compassion, not understanding, not even the simplest courtesy.
I was not a customer at that moment. Not a friend. Not a familiar face. Just a traveler. A human being — needing a moment of mercy. But that wasn’t enough.
When stores shut their doors to humanity, they no longer remain places of trade — they become symbols of emotional emptiness. A market can sell everything, but if it cannot offer a shred of kindness, what value does it truly hold?

Read moreThis is a wonderful small business. Yes, there are items that are priced slightly higher than a corporate grocery store, but how do you expect a small, family business to stay afloat and compete with corporate greed? When it snows or anything is happening I always make sure to check in and make sure she’s doing okay, because she’s part of my neighborhood and she’s such a good person. Shopping here feels like the “old days;” she has let me come back the next day to settle funds, and she always asks how my mom is doing when I come in to buy things she knows Im...

She told my brother that she couldn't afford to pay him the $55 scratch ticket money that he had one and told him he had to come back and get their earnings later when she had more money and refused to give him a scratch ticket back. When I told her it was against the law on that she either had to give me the ticket or the money that I wasn't leaving until she did she told me to shut up and get out numerous times screaming. When I threatened to call the police is when she decided to hey app. Refuse to give me the money only to my brother which was fine. She had plenty of money to pay us I noticed when she pulled out the water of money from the register. I turned her into gaming. Apparently not the first time she's done something in...
