Solana Frosty — Restaurant in Solana Beach

Mint chocolate milkshake is so good I stole it from my kid!! The soft serve is my kids favorite - do yourself a favor and get the chocolate coating which is really tasty and with a real chocolate flavor (as opposed to the wax like ones I’ve had elsewhere). The real show stopper is the ice cream bucket filled with more scoops of ice cream than I can count, a massive brownie, smothered in whipped cream, loaded with sprinkles and all kinds of yummy toppings (nuts, cherries etc). Best ice cream I’ve had in the city!!! It’s so good I’ve yet to try the Hawaiian shave ice or an intriguing Dirty Drink (think it’s a soda mixed with shave ice flavors and cream?). My mouth loves this place, and my pants hate me!

Update, got an ice cream pie for a birthday and the recipient LOVED it! Lots of yummy soft serve in a chocolate crumble crust, smothered in whipped cream and marshmallows, even had Oreos! Kids freaked out. Adults went back for seconds. Better than...

Solana Frosty is a dream come true for me! I have vivid memories growing up of our best friends stopping to get dipped cones on the way home from beach trips, and Solana Frosty will allow my kids to have the same awesome experiences. ❤️

They have it all. Delicious hard scoop options, soft serve and dipped cones, shave ice, milk shakes, sundaes, banana splits, soda floats and freezes, and even boba! 🍨🧋🍧🍦

Their employees are cheerful, kind and very patient with my indecisive kids :). They are also efficient and unphased by long lines.
