When I proposed to my wife on Feb 14 2013 we lived in OC and made Di Orio's our bar. We went to Di Orio's to celebrate and Denny the owner at the time gave us a champagne split and to glasses. Oct 4 2024 made 10 years married. We made our first stop at Di Orio's driving from Vineland. I asked the Jim the bartender if Denny was in, he said he's retired. My wife and I were sad. But Jim said he pops in from time to time. It just so happens Denny walked in and came over to talk to us. He said he's have the time of his life and he looked great! He sold the bar to his nephew witch so cool to keep it in the family. I did notice the menu changed. It was a little hard to read the back ground is too dark. I was thinking more like a sandy color kinda keep that beach theme. I do love the tv additions though, sports for everybody! My wife and I enjoy coming here, it's one of the last old school home town bars. The men's bath looked very well done and my wife said the same about the ladies. It's a place where you can go and just relax, all the teachers do 🤣. My recommendation is the 4 Alarm tenders. The waitress asked if I was sure, I said it's not my first rodeo. If you do get the 4 Alarm make sure you have a bandana to wipe your nose and soke up your tears. It was great to see alot of locals in there, talking about what there're doing to there house next or how their kids growing up. You know home town stuff. I hope Denny's nephew doesn't change it around to much. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Thank you for still being a family owned home...
Read moreIt has been sort of a tradition to visit this summer. The last time i was there with my kids we had to get up no less than 3 times to get the waitresses attenention. More drinks, napkins etc. Mind u we were the only table and 2 people at the bar. This time i went my son was finishing his toaster streudel as we asked for a table to order our standard 50 piece of tenderd. The owner i assume then barked at me that he cant come in here with food. Mind u its a pop tart and we had already asked to be seated to eat. I then turned my son around and quietly said "we r just going to go"as i felt uncomfortable and angry now being there. He then made a sarcastic comment similar to cya later or such. Its funny diorios had again maybe 2 people in the bar even though its on the circle with huge car traffic. We moved our tradition to charlies right up the road. Much Better service which explains why it is ALWAYS busy. Even with the more tucked away location. Pass on diorios . Youll be happier at Charlies but based on observation everyone...
Read moreThe restaurant was very nice. Good vibes and a good crowd of people. The service and staff were excellent. The food we ordered was outstanding and was done quickly and brung out to us fast. We played quizzo and had a great date night. I recommend to friends and family. We just moved to this area and it was our 1st time eating there. We will be back again very soon. Did i mention the food and drink prices are very reasonable and affordable. This place is also good for families with children of all ages. They have specials on food everyday of the week. Last night was Tuesday and it was 65 cent each for chicken tenders and Wednesday i noticed is 65 cent each for wings. If your needing a nice spot to eat this is your go to spot. I promise you wont be disappointed. The menu literally had something for everyone even the...
