My husband and I were craving dumplings/Chinese on this Friday night (10/6/23) and fortunately for us we chose Lotus. I actually drive by it everyday, I work at the bank up the street, and always say I’m going to try it, and when my other half suggested it, I decided it was a sign from above. I ordered the fried rice with roasted pork, scallion pancakes (they came with like 8 triangle pieces, great portion), 8 pc. Pan fried dumpling (so good) and General Gao Chicken. First I’ll say, best fried rice from a quick serve Asian restaurant in the same category by far. Everything about it was just so fresh and I’m very particular about fried rice. It wasn’t dry, or burnt it was perfectly cooked with a liberal amount of egg (which I really like) and like I said it just tasted so good and fresh. My husband also echoed that opinion. Scallion pancakes were on point as were the dumplings, which is what I was really craving. I didn’t have room for Gen. Gao chicken but my husband said 5/5, will def eat again. I just want to once again emphasize how hot and fresh everything was once we got home after driving 20 minutes or so. 👍

I stopped by on a whim to grab a nosh for the cold walk home. I got the most BEAUTIFUL spring rolls I have ever had. They looked like a food magazine photo shoot...the fake food thats not real??? Well they were real. And delicious! The dipping sauce was just as exciting.

But the best part for me was the milk tea with bubbles... My partner and I are new to the area and just mentioned how excited I was to have a place close to home where I could run over to anytime and grab one. The man who was working must have heard us because he brought me one out while we waited.
