We go to this chili's frequently because it is close and the food is usually good. Our experience today was terrible! The hostess was very friendly and sat us immediately. We waited at our table for over 10 minutes before our server came to take our drink order. Attempted to order my toddler chocolate milk and was told they were out. Then I tried to order apple juice and again was told they were out. I asked the waitress about chicken fajitas on the 3 for $10 menu and she said they didn't do that. Another waitress told us about that deal when we were there last week so I am not sure why it was different 5 days later. We ordered queso as a starter and gave the waitress a reward code for free queso which she wrote down. We ordered our food. My mom and grandma ordered soup and asked for it to come out before the food. The waitress brought out the soups and forgot spoons. She went to get the spoons and returned with our food and no spoons still. My food was i correct. I ordered fajitas without bacon and peppers and they had both. She went back to get spoons. When she finally brought the spoons she took my food. She returned with my food about 5 minutes later and forgot the tortillas. When she returned to check on us I told her I needed to place a to go order. I ordered the 3 for $10 cup of chili, chicken crispers and fries. When she returned she brought the check and said she had to get the to go order separated. She came back with 2 checks which were incorrect. The first check included the queso which was supposed to be taken off with the code she wrote down earlier. She then said she forgot and threw it away. We gave her the code and she fixed it. The to go order was not rung up as 3 for $10 and was over $17. I asked her ave she said she would fix it. She brought a new check and it was still incorrect. It had 2 upcharges for the chili for $1.29 and $.80. I asked her about the charges and she said she would ask. I asked the hostess for a menu to see what it said about the upcharge. The menu said $1 upcharge for chili. When the waitress returned she said the bill was correct. When I showed her the menu she said no its $1.29 upcharge. I asked for a manager. She returned and said the manager would be right with us. The manager never came to the table. Finally the waitress brought a new check and said she didn't know what they did and if it was correct. It was finally correct. We paid and left. I understand they are short staffed and have new employees but their employees should at least know how to ring up food without trying to overcharge. Also, there is no excuse for the manager not coming to the table when I asked to see her. We used to go here about once a week but after this experience we...
Read moreWent in for lunch with my husband. It took our server 10 minutes to just come great us and take our drink order. It then took another 10 minutes to receive our drinks and have our food order taken. We both ordered off of the 3 for me menu, you get and appetizer (chips and salsa, soup, or salad) choice of several entrees (price varies) and your drink. I ordered the big smasher burger ( which my husband had gotten at a different Chili's a few weeks ago) and a salad. My husband ordered the all American burger and a bowl of soup. Both came with fries also. 20 minutes later our server shows up with my husband's soup but not my salad, she claimed they had to go find the dressing. 5 minutes later my salad finally came out. We finished our appetizers and now we wait again, we've already been here over an hour. We've received our drinks but no refills and appetizer but not at the same time. We've now sat for another 30 minutes with no one checking on us or picking up our dirty dishes and here come our burgers and fries. The burgers look identical to each other (we ordered 2 totally different burgers) both are visibly burned and way over cooked and the fries are cold. Again we have to wait to tell someone our order is messed up. Finally we get a manager that had an attitude from the start. Tried to tell me all the burgers look the same, remember my husband had just had the smasher burger a few weeks ago in a different Chili's, so we knew better. Told us well I can get you fresh fries but can't do anything about your burgers. So after more then an hour and a half in the place I sent everything away and left. I will not even think about stepping into this place again. If you want Chili's and you're in Myrtle Beach SC go to the one on Kings Highway they are great. Stay away from the one on 501, you'll spend over an hour waiting on food that isn't even what you ordered and over cooked...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this one was necessary.
My family and I went to this location for dinner this past weekend, and it was truly a horrible experience. We will never return.
Our food had to be sent back three times—once for having hair on the plate, and twice because the food was ice cold. The mozzarella sticks were so cold the cheese inside was still a solid block. We asked for everything to be made fresh.
After waiting another 30 minutes, they brought back my daughter’s chicken tenders—which, to our shock, were the same tenders with hair that we had returned earlier. The waitress admitted that she accidentally brought back the same plate, which is incredibly concerning. Why was food with hair still in the kitchen and not immediately discarded?
Eventually, they brought out another round of food—and yet again, it was freezing cold. At this point, we had been there over an hour and a half and had to send our food back multiple times.
When I asked to speak with a manager, they did refund our money, but they made no effort to make it right by offering properly prepared food. We weren’t asking for a refund—we were there to eat dinner and just wanted hot, fresh food after waiting so long.
To make matters worse, other diners were also returning their food due to finding hair in it. So it’s clearly not an isolated incident.
This was our first visit to this location, and it will absolutely be our last. The way this situation was handled was unacceptable, and it’s clear that food safety and quality are not priorities here. They could have and should have done much more to...
