We went here on Sunday, November 19, 2023 to have a nice breakfast but we left before we could even be seated. We specifically told the hostess we needed a "table". The hostess proceeded to take us to a 2-person booth. We requested again a "table" not a booth. The hostess proceeded to put the menus and the tableware back and told us to wait. The hostess proceeded to go to another section and cleared a table, a table we had been seated at before and knew the table would rock (as she was cleaning you could see the table rock back and forth) and the overhead vent would drip on the customer. Meanwhile, there were other open tables in that particular section, in fact the one behind it, and other sections of the restaurant that were open. The other section just had another party seated in the area, so we knew it was open for seating. The hostess came back and started to take us that table and we asked her not to because we knew the table rocked and we had been seated at that particular table before and said the table rocking makes it very uncomfortable for a customer to be able to enjoy their food. The hostess totally agreed with us by shaking her head. We asked to be seated elsewhere and the hostess just looked at us like we were asking for the moon and the stars. We kindly and politely told the hostess if that is all she could offer as seating and we are refusing to subject ourselves to being uncomfortable then we are leaving. The hostess made no offer, no comment, no apology, just continued to look at us. We decided to leave and not subject ourselves to being uncomfortable. Note: due to both of us have issues with being able to sit and get out of a booth comfortably that is why we specifically request a table not a booth. Secondary note: they have tried fixing the rocking of that particular table with folded napkins and etc. however that fix does not work. That table needs to be fixed properly or removed from the dining room. Additional note: it appears the hostess was extremely young and unable to understand...
Read moreFriday, December 7, 2018 around 6:30pm my family and I (4 adults and 3 children 5 years and younger came in to dine enroute to a Christmas attraction thereafter. The place was occupied with patrons but not heavily busy. We were seated and requested a high chair and 2 boosters. We received the high chair but no boosters. We retrieved those ourselves. The server took our drink orders and we received those promptly except my coffee. Our food order was taken and still no coffee. We also discovered that we only received 3 sets of silverware. I got up myself in search of more and extra napkins in which the host helped me with those. After a considerable amount of time we hadn’t received our food yet. We noticed that 2 tables that had been seated after us were served, ate and paid for and still no food. We inquired as to what the hold up was and the server couldn’t find the order. As she fumbled through tickets her supervisor walked by obliviously without getting involved. At this point we became highly frustrated and announced we were just gonna leave. All we received from the server and supervisor was an “I’m sorry.” With no efforts toward rectification we took our children, which at this point were hungry and irritable and walked out of the restaurant. What should have been a pleasurable dining experience and happy children with Grinch pancakes turned into a disappointing visit at best. We dined at a nearby McDonald’s which delivered prompt service, was correct on each order and their courtesy was exemplary. This is the very first time I’ve ever received poor service at an IHOP and I’ve visited many from the east coast to Missouri. I will continue to dine at IHOP but will be incredibly hesitant to visit this one ever again. Hopefully the franchise owner will get word of this and the other poor reviews and work toward an improvement...
Read moreI do not mind giving great reviews if I have a wonderful experience it important to say so. I like many ppl read reviews. This unfortunately was not a great experience. I went on Saturday 23rd of Nov with my husband. We were craving pancakes and have not been to ihop in years. We where out shopping and thought why not treat ourselves. When we walked in, it was at least 6 ppl online to be seated. The restaurant was nearly empty. All the employees was seated looking to see who would get up to seat us. 1st red flags. Finally someone came and young lady was not pleasant and her uniform was very dirty 2nd red flag. We order our food and then looked around and the place was dirty. 3rd red flag. At this point we where ready to leave. However we already order and was very hungry. The food came shortly after and my husband food was burnt and my pancakes and eggs taste like old grease. We asked to speak to the manager because our waiter was to busy to attend to us. We decided not to eat the food and just pay for thr orange juice. I hope they read this review. My goal in reading it was not to just complain but hope that both the establishment, management and employee improve tremendous. IHOP is a stable and hate to see it in that condition. Please fix this management. FYI we went across the street to the waffle house and had better service, it was cleaner and food was not saturated in grease and butter. The staff was friendly and uniform was clean. THAT IS THE WAFFLE HOUSE. Sorry but I don't expect much from the waffle house but i do...
