Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places to shop, especially for the holidays. However, my recent experience was not a good one. I had to get a rain check for one of the beautiful dollhouses, because I wanted to purchase it assembled. I ordered it the end of November. The associate said it would arrive in 7-10 business days, plenty of time before Christmas. On December 21st it still hadn't arrived. I was told I could purchase the one on display. And this is where I have the problem. I asked if they give a discount because it's a display. No, they do not! Most retail stores give a discount. But, I could still use the 40% coupon, so I decided buy it because it's the only thing my little granddaughter wanted for Christmas. Once I got a closer look at it I noticed the trim was loose in one spot and the inside hadn't been assembled. Again, I asked for a discount since I'm paying the assembled price, but was refused! I bought it anyway. The associates loaded it in my car. When I got home to remove it, because they hadn't wrapped or covered it and they placed it front down on the carpeted trunk, it ripped the loose frame off along with additional framing. I emailed Hobby Lobby and their response in a nutshell was they can't do anything about it, it's up to the store manager. I had already asked the manager twice for a discount. And he/she didn't even have the decency to come talk to me during this entire process, his response was relayed through an associate. Horrible customer service, poor management. My complaint should have been handled on a corporate level, and not telling me to go back to the store to deal with the manager. Very...
Read moreThere is a never a time when I shop at Hobby Lobby that I do not enjoy myself. This is by far one of my favorite stores to shop at, not only for crafts, but for home decorations, children's crafts, clothes, and toys, as well as holiday/birthday gift ideas. My most recent visit, I discovered that the store now provides pamphlets on each isle, that provide tips, ideas, and "How-To's" for creating crafts from each isle. These pamphlets are free too! I love the fact that this store sells Christian books and gifts, because not many stores sell these kind of products. Hobby Lobby literally ALWAYS has better prices than competing stores within the Upstate. The store temperature is always comfortable, so when I shop, I am not too cold, nor too hot while running around shopping. I have not had much contact with employees, other than purchasing my items at the register, so I cannot speak on behalf of the employees, as far as friendliness and courtesy goes. I usually do not like to be bothered too much by employees while I am shopping, but I will say,m anytime I have asked for assistance in this store, I have never had an issue with finding a representative to help out. I really love this store!. Shopping here is fun and a form of therapy for me! I hope others find Hobby Lobby as...
Read moreIt's a great store! Well stocked with crafting supplies from glass jars to beads and wire with everything in between. Glues, some weaving and knitting supplies. Books and just about every kind of sketch pad and blank art papers. It's just about impossible to itemize products, or for that matter categories of projects. It's a BIG store.
There is one thing I would like to mention. Framing and repairing frames on art or important to you, photographs. I had one such item and after going to Hobby's competition for estimates to re-frame my art, requesting a close to exact duplicate of the original and damaged frame I was ready to quit. However my wife suggested we try one more place..... this one. After all the excuses at the other stores and requirements that we "leave" the art and pick it up in "a week or so, we'll call you" Hobby's frame short was INCREDIBLE. They looked at it, quoted an unbelievable price and said I could wait for it! It was a complicated frame with metal snd all sorts of trim, which they duplicated perfectly. My picture is now back on the wall and indistinguishable from...
